Welcome to this meditation for a hurting heart.
Begin in a comfortable seat.
Create an awareness of your surroundings.
Acknowledge the sounds,
Activity,
Or chaos that surround you.
Move your awareness to your physical feeling.
Acknowledge any discomfort or stiffness within.
Unclench your jaw.
Let your eyes gently close.
Now bring your awareness to your emotions.
Acknowledge exactly how you are feeling.
Sad,
Lonely,
Hurt,
Betrayed,
Disappointed.
Give weight to those feelings and know each feeling is valid as it occurs or is experienced by you.
Those feelings can show up differently for different people.
Acknowledge that identifying those feelings and not hiding or neglecting them is powerful.
We are all made up of the experiences and emotions that we embody.
Notice how pain and heaviness come and go.
Days come where there is more light than darkness.
To love takes courage.
To heal takes courage.
Find space in your heart for love and healing.
Trust that what is meant for you will find its way to you.
Trust that light will continually find you and outweigh the darkness and hurt.
With your next inhale,
Reach your arms up overhead for a deep stretch.
Bring your hands then to heart center.
Take a deep breath in and a slow exhale out.
