Hello Insight Timer community.

My name is Lauren Cortese.

Welcome to this meditation to invite stillness into your present moment.

Find a place of comfort sitting cross-legged or lying down.

Create an awareness of your surroundings.

Acknowledge the sounds,

Activities,

Or chaos that surround you.

Unclench your jaw.

Let your eyes gently close.

Bring your attention to your breath.

If this is difficult,

Repeat to yourself,

I am breathing in.

I am breathing out.

I am breathing in.

I am breathing out.

Be still.

Notice the ground supporting you.

Rest in this stillness and allow the flow of your breath to reach deep within your belly.

Take a deep breath in.

Allow that breath to linger within you.

Let that breath engulf the rest of your body.

Feel the warmth of that breath extend to the tips of your toes and the very top of your head.

Let that breath steady you into stillness.

Appreciate the quietness of the body,

The quieting of your mind,

And the gift of stillness.

Commit to bringing this stillness to the rest of your day.

With your next inhale,

Reach your arms overhead for a deep stretch.

If you are seated,

Bring your hands to heart center.

If you are lying down,

Bring one hand to your heart and one to your belly.

Take a deep breath in.

Slowly exhale.

Namaste.
