And I'll be your guide for today's listening session.
If you've ever found yourself.
Reaching for food at night.
Not because you are hungry.
But because something deeper was calling.
I want you to know you are not alone.
Most programs try to address this habit from the outside.
With rules,
Restrictions,
Willpower,
And most of the time,
That doesn't work.
Because it's addressing the surface,
Not the source.
This session goes deeper.
Because emotional eating is rarely about food.
Usually.
It's about soothing.
Comfort.
Relief or protection.
It's a learned attempt.
To feel calmer.
Safer.
Or more at ease,
Even just for a little while.
And when we understand the pattern at that level.
We can begin to change it.
At that level.
And that's exactly what we're going to do in this session today.
Not by fighting yourself or forcing change.
But by working more gently.
More deeply.
Perhaps than you've ever tried before.
If you haven't already.
Find a comfortable position.
Silence your notifications.
And let your eyes.
Comfortably close.
And as you follow the sound of my voice.
You can ignore.
Any distracting sounds.
Or even allow them to help you relax more deeply.
And let's begin by turning your attention inward now.
Inward.
To yourself.
Taking a long,
Slow,
Deep breath now.
Breathing all the way in.
.
.
And exhaling all the way out.
And once more now,
Breathing in fully and deeply.
And exhaling fully and completely.
And allowing your breath to settle into its own natural rhythm.
And as you notice how good it feels to relax and breathe.
You can bring your awareness into the center of your chest.
To the area around your heart.
Your heart is a center of intelligence.
And it processes information differently than your mind does.
Take a moment now to sense this intelligence within you.
Knowing that it has been with you through every moment of your life.
And it knows you completely.
Notice how it feels.
To simply breathe into this space in the center of your chest.
Resting your awareness.
In your heart.
And sensing the intelligence within you.
And now,
Let's begin letting the muscles of your body relax little by little.
Starting with your chest and abdomen.
As you continue to breathe,
Just let the muscles there begin to soften and relax.
Shifting your awareness now to the muscles of your back.
And letting your back feel safe and supported as the muscles soften and become more supple and relaxed.
And becoming aware of your shoulders now.
Letting your shoulders drop.
Feeling any tightness or tension beginning to melt away.
Moving up into your neck and the muscles of your scalp and head.
Feeling any tightness or tension begin to gently relax and let go.
Noticing your forehead and temples.
Feeling those muscles smooth and relaxed.
And relaxing your jaw.
And all the little muscles around your face and head.
And continuing to relax down through your arms now and hands.
Letting your arms and hands feel heavy,
Loose,
Limp,
And relaxed.
And now letting the relaxation flow down to the lower half of your body.
Hips and thighs,
Legs and feet.
Fully supported.
Relax and at ease.
And as your entire body now continues to sink into this deep state of relaxation.
In a moment,
I'm going to count backwards from five to one.
With each number.
You can allow yourself to drift deeper inside yourself into a quiet,
Protected interior space.
A safe place within.
Where you can heal the past.
And connect more fully.
With the intelligence within you.
Beginning with the number five,
Now gently relaxing deeper into yourself.
Number four,
Letting go of any expectations.
There's no right or wrong way to do this.
Number three,
Dropping even deeper,
More and more comfortable now.
Number two,
Sinking down,
Down deep inside yourself.
And number one dropping all the way down,
Very.
Deeply relax.
Good.
And here.
In this quiet inner space.
You are safe.
And you are connected with your own inner wisdom.
The intelligence within you.
That lives in your heart.
And this intelligence.
It can feel like a gentle flame.
Like a glowing candlelight.
Softly illuminating this peaceful inner space.
And as your eyes adjust to this soft inner light.
Perhaps you can sense that there's a presence that's been waiting for you here.
This presence is part of that old evening habit.
The hunger.
The craving.
The restlessness.
The urge that has wanted to devour your nights.
And this presence.
Is like a shadow.
And there's no need to fight it.
You can simply notice it now.
From this place,
You can see or sense or somehow know that this shadow is not trying to hurt you.
It's not weakness.
It's not failure.
And it's not a lack of willpower.
This shadow.
Has been hiding inside of you.
And it formed there for a reason.
It came to protect you.
Or to help you cope.
Perhaps long ago.
A part of you discovered.
That food is one way.
To feel better for a while.
To soothe the hurt.
To distract from pain.
Or to soften uncomfortable feelings.
And so,
The shadow kept showing up.
Night after night.
Trying in its own way to help.
And now.
From this deeper place of awareness.
You can turn towards the shadow part.
With kindness.
As your heart.
Illuminates its presence.
And perhaps for the first time.
You can speak directly.
To this part of yourself now.
I see you.
I see how hard you've been working.
Night after night.
Showing up.
Trying to protect me.
Trying to help me feel better the only way you knew how.
And I want you to know.
You don't have to work so hard anymore.
I wanna thank you.
For trying to help me.
For doing the best you could.
With what you had.
And you can rest now.
I've got this.
I'll take it from here.
And as that part begins to rest now.
To release the weight of all those years of trying.
To experience the relief.
Of being seen.
You can bring your awareness gently to your heart.
And sense what is happening there.
The loving-kindness in your own heart.
Is expanding.
Like a warm glowing light.
Expanding.
And moving towards.
Is tired.
Faithful part of you.
Surrounding it.
Infusing it with love.
The way sunlight.
Moves through water.
Slowly.
.
.
Completely.
Penetrating every particle.
And in this light.
In this war.
Something is beginning to shift.
The part that has worked so hard.
Can now relax,
Soften,
And dissolve.
With the relief.
Of finally.
Being seen.
Finally!
Being love.
Finally!
Being allowed to rest.
And what remains is relief.
There's an openness.
A spaciousness.
In your chest.
Where the shadow used to live.
Now.
There is loving-kindness.
And an awareness that you are enough.
Just as you are right here.
Right now.
This is what was underneath.
All along.
And as this feeling.
Settles more deeply into your body.
You may notice a new awareness beginning to emerge.
Piss.
Is what it feels like.
To be satisfied.
This.
Is what it feels like to be fulfilled.
And now.
Allowing that awareness.
To expand inside of you.
Sensing it move through every muscle.
Every cell in your body.
Feeling whole.
Complete.
And totally fulfill.
Let yourself fully.
Take that in now.
And if you'd like.
You can place a hand over your heart or over your belly.
And with every breath.
Allow those feelings.
To get bigger.
And brighter.
And clearer.
This quality of inner satisfaction.
This sense of being whole and complete.
Is what you've been seeking all along.
And it's here within you.
Right now.
And it's always available for you right here.
In your own heart.
And now.
Let's allow your mind.
To show you something.
An evening.
Your evening.
That is already waiting for you.
As you find yourself at home.
And the day is winding down.
You're noticing something different now.
Your body feels calmer.
You're breathing.
More deeply.
Your shoulders are relaxed.
You're feeling clear and confident.
There's no urgency.
No restless searching.
Just a quiet sense of ease.
Notice the way you stand.
Perhaps a little taller.
The way you walk around the house.
More confidently.
The way you naturally move through your evening,
Feeling so good.
You are present.
You are relaxed.
And you're connected.
With yourself.
And as the evening continues.
You can even sense the way your relationship with food has shifted.
Now it's easy to choose nourishing foods that leave you feeling satisfied and fulfilled.
And you can return.
To that feeling of being enough.
Of having enough.
And doing enough.
You may find yourself naturally relaxing.
Enjoying your evening.
Feeling calm and confident.
And knowing there's nothing outside of yourself that you need.
You can feel whole and complete within yourself.
And now.
Notice that you can move forward in time.
Several months have passed.
You're moving through your evenings differently now.
More peacefully.
More easily.
Because this is your new normal.
It's second nature.
And you're feeling so good.
And so relieved.
And you wake in the mornings.
Feeling lighter.
Like a heavy weight.
Has been lifted.
You have more freedom and spaciousness in your life now.
And it feels so good.
And you may even hear these words.
As you say them to yourself.
I am calm and confident.
I am satisfied and fulfill.
I am enough.
I have enough.
And I do enough.
There is nothing outside of me that I need to complete me.
I am already whole and complete.
Let's take a moment now.
To give thanks in advance.
For all of these changes that are already taking place within you.
Giving thanks for your willingness to show up for yourself.
Giving thanks.
For choosing something different.
Giving thanks for connecting with the love in your heart.
That's been with you all along.
And in the days and weeks ahead.
You may notice evidence.
Evidence that these changes are taking root.
You may feel a growing sense that something inside of you is feeling more confident,
More connected,
And more fulfilled.
And each time.
You listen to this session.
You continue to reinforce this new way of being.
Tonight and every night as you sleep.
Your mind.
Continues to integrate all of these ideas.
Thoughts,
And suggestions.
Like seeds being planted in the rich,
Fertile soil of your psyche.
And they continue to take root.
And grow over time.
So in a moment,
I'm going to count forward from 1 to 5.
If it's your normal time to fall asleep.
You can ignore the suggestions to awaken and instead drift into a deep and restful sleep.
When you do return to full consciousness,
You'll feel refreshed,
Alert,
And filled with a renewed sense of hope.
And enthusiasm.
For all of the opportunities in store for you.
And now.
Gently coming back into this present time and space with the number one.
Number two.
Returning your awareness to your physical body.
