This is a short introduction video for you to understand what Kundalini Yoga is, what to expect from a class, and what the focus or intention of this modality of yoga is. What I share in the video is my lived experience as a teacher and a practitioner of this kind of yoga.

Welcome to this short introduction video on what is kundalini yoga.

I'm going to share what kundalini yoga is for me as a teacher and as a practitioner.

Observing yoga as a big old tree with a very big trunk and different branches.

And the different branches are the different styles or modalities of yoga,

Which could be yin yoga,

Which is slower,

Vinyasa,

Faster with your breath.

And kundalini yoga many others i'm just naming a few and kundalini yoga is a branch on this yoga tree let's say and this is just a branch a modality a path where we can obtain the benefits of yoga of union in union with our heart uniting our head our thoughts our actions and our feelings so kundalini yoga is a modality that uses repetitive movement for a specific amount of time you.

Breath and mantra,

The angles in the body,

To give the body in practice a specific effect.

Could be physical,

Could be energetical,

Could be mental.

Kundalini yoga is a practice that strengthens our bodies.

In this modality there is said to be 10 bodies,

So it strengthens our bodies so that we can actually live in coherence with our heart in day-to-day life.

This is the goal of kundalini,

So that we can live in coherence with our Bye.

And also in my experience,

It's been a practice that has shown me what devotion really is.

So it's a very disciplined practice.

Strict in this discipline kind of sense,

But it has a way of opening devotion in discipline.

So all of the movements,

All of the breath,

All of the effort that we put in the practice,

It's like offerings that we're doing into the altar of our intention.
