Welcome to this guided meditation.
Please find a comfortable seat.
Allow yourself to release any thoughts or responsibilities that weigh heavily on your mind.
Feel free to explore,
Smile,
And experience happiness.
Aware of your breath.
Feel the breath as it grows longer and deeper.
Take a few moments to breathe in and out,
Allowing yourself to turn inward and explore.
Imagine a path.
You are walking through a wooded forest.
On this path,
The night air is cool and chilly.
The sky is dark and illuminated by the stars of the heavens.
The air is still and a thin layer of snow is upon the ground.
You are snuggled up warm in a soft scarf.
With each footstep,
You hear the crunch of the snow beneath your boot.
The moon is full and warms up the night sky with a soft,
Comforting glow.
In the distance,
You hear an owl.
You continue on the path with each step.
You inhale and exhale with the next.
You notice a soft light in the distance.
It's a moonbeam shining down onto a mother deer nestling her fawn.
A snowflake flutters down from the sky and gently comes to rest on the skin of your nose to melt.
It brings you back to the breath.
Now take a deep breath.
Feel the toes and the feet begin to relax.
The legs relax.
The muscles in the belly give them permission to gently relax.
Moving up to the chest,
Relax the muscles around the ribs and the muscles of your back.
Release any tension in the shoulders,
Muscles,
And your neck to relax by all of the muscles in your head,
The jaw,
The tongue,
The brow.
Allow the body to melt into the earth.
Take another deep breath,
Allowing air to gently fill the lungs.
Breathe out,
Exhaling until there's no more air left in the lungs.
Breathing in again,
Feeling the lungs expand.
Breathing out,
Breathing in through the nose for a count of 4,
3,
2,
1.
Pausing at the top.
Breathing out through the lips for 6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Breathing in for 3,
2,
1.
Breathing out,
Continuing this pattern of breathing for a couple rounds,
Bringing the breath back to a state of natural rhythm.
Smile and take a deep breath that brings you peace.
Namaste.
