Come to a comfortable position,

Whatever that means for you,

Either in a comfortable seated position or even lying down.

Once you have found your comfortable position,

Close your eyes and begin to focus on your breath.

Inhale deeply for three counts and exhale fully for four counts.

And with every breath in,

You feel safe,

Relaxed and grounded.

And on every exhale,

Silently say,

I forgive myself.

Listen to my voice as I will guide you into a familiar state of comfort and calm.

Here we will take in five deep breaths.

One,

Take in a deep breath through your nostrils and send the breath down through your belly into your hips,

Thighs,

Legs and feet.

And on the exhale,

Silently say,

I forgive myself.

Two,

Take in another deep breath,

This time deeper than the first and send the breath up through your chest into your collarbones,

Shoulders and hands.

And on the exhale,

Silently say to yourself,

I forgive myself.

Three,

Take another deep breath in and this time send the breath to any areas of the body that remain tense.

And on the exhale,

Silently say to yourself,

I forgive myself.

Four,

Continue breathing deeply and notice the body relaxing and the mind moving into a deeper state of consciousness.

And on the exhale,

Silently say,

I forgive myself.

Five,

Taking one more deep breath in,

Sending the breath to your heart center where there is love and compassion and allow this energy to release throughout your body.

And on the exhale,

Silently say,

I forgive myself.

Our experiences shape us.

Throughout our life journey,

We experienced many ups and downs,

Some of which are so profound,

They change the course of who we become.

However,

It is important to remember that it is not what happens to us in life,

But rather how we react that makes all the difference.

Some people will allow their negative experiences to weigh them down,

While others look for ways to make the best out of their situation.

You are here today because you are ready to forgive yourself.

You are ready to free yourself from the shackles of reliving past hurtful memories in your mind over and over again.

You are ready to let go of the choices you have made that brought you to a place you no longer want to be.

You are ready to release all toxicity that has been coursing through your body for some time.

Inhale and exhale.

Take yourself back to the memory you keep reliving in your mind.

Stand as the objective observer of this memory.

Do not tie any emotion to this memory at this time.

If you begin to feel any emotions,

Pause the memory and bring your awareness back to your breath.

And continue the mantra of,

I forgive myself upon every exhale.

Once you have released your emotions,

You may return to the memory.

Forgiveness is the tool we will be using today to expand our awareness of the memory you are holding.

Forgiveness is a process that brings you into a state of self-awareness,

Well-being,

Compassion,

And harmony with the whole universe.

Anger,

Sadness,

Or negative actions weaken our ability to be fully aware of our experiences and ability to absorb the lesson from those experiences.

Using your breath,

Notice how your awareness of this memory is expanding.

On the next deep inhale,

Send love and compassion from your heart center outward towards this memory.

Exhale fully.

On the next deep inhale,

Send love and compassion to your past self in this memory.

Exhale fully.

Objectively identify the feelings from this memory that caused this sequence of events to occur.

Was it anger?

Was it fear?

Was it loneliness?

Was it jealousy?

Was it sadness?

Often times,

We struggle with forgiving ourselves not because of what was said or what was done,

But rather because we allowed ourselves to be part of this experience.

We felt like we knew better or should have known better and could have prevented this from happening in the first place.

We may have acted out of fear,

Scarcity,

Or impulse that affected our ability to reason in that moment.

Whatever these feelings were and whatever the cause of these feelings,

Know that they are now in the past.

Know that the past no longer exists.

Know that this experience no longer exists except only in your mind.

If you keep dwelling on the past,

Then you forego the powerful abundance of this present moment.

You have the power to take only the good from this experience and release the bad into the abyss.

Should another experience such as this ever arise,

Your good has equipped you with the ability to prevent this from happening again.

In this moment and with this breath,

Silently say to yourself,

I forgive myself.

For the next few breaths,

Release every negative emotion you are feeling because of this memory.

And on every exhale,

Silently say to yourself,

I forgive myself.

Observe each breath you take and how the air flowing through your body chips away at this memory.

Each breath you take and every time you say,

I forgive myself,

This memory disappears further and further into the abyss.

Here today,

You have given yourself the divine gift of forgiveness.

This gift has healed you from the emotional wounds you have inflicted upon yourself.

This gift empowers you to feel the wholeness of the universe that you are an important part of.

Here today,

You have also committed to forgiving yourself in this moment and all other moments from the past.

You have released yourself of all the emotional burdens you have been carrying and the pain it has caused you.

Forgiveness is never easy,

But you are strong enough to welcome it into your life.

It is a process we must all go through in order to move on with our lives.

Feel proud of yourself for taking a step closer toward loving yourself.

Begin to bring gentle movements to your body and notice that your mind and heart are at peace.

When you are ready to open your eyes,

You are humbled and grateful for your experience.

Thank you for sharing your mindful practice with me.

I am honored to have guided you through this meditation.

Before we conclude this meditation,

I would like to encourage you to take a few minutes to just jot down some of your thoughts into a journal while your mind is still clear and your intuition is guiding you.

Meditation is a tool to help you access your inner wisdom that will guide you along your journey.

Wishing you peace,

Joy,

And love.

Namaste.

Namaste.
