Welcome to your gratitude meditation.
My name is Lara and I'll be guiding you through today.
We'll get started by settling into a space for your meditation which can be seated or even lying down.
And if you're coming up to a meditation seat,
Allow yourself to be in a space where your sitting bones and legs are grounded.
You can rest your hands gently to the tops of the legs,
Invite space and height into the spine as you sit up tall and feel the shoulders relax away from the ears so you can feel that your spine is strong yet flexible at the same time.
Feel free to let your eyes relax closed.
As you settle into the space for your meditation,
Start to take a few rounds of deeper and fuller breaths and feel the inhale expanding through the body and feel the soft release with every exhale,
Letting tension melt away.
And take one more full breath in and out and then let yourself settle back into your natural breath.
Today's meditation will focus on gratitude and its ability to expand infinitely.
Gratitude has the power to shift our perspective and amplify positivity and well-being.
We can all relate to times of our lives when things were challenging,
Perhaps dealing with grief or loss or significant change.
Yet even in these moments,
There's a possibility of finding a shift to a more elevated emotion and positive feeling state simply by finding things to be grateful for.
We can practice chains of gratitude and realize that blessings in our life are all around.
In this practice,
I'll ask you to think of one thing that you're grateful for and then create a chain reaction of gratitude for everything that has supported it in its existence.
As an example,
One thing that I'm grateful for is my puppy and his loving nature.
In practicing chains of gratitude,
I'm also grateful for the fosters that took care of him as a baby,
His vet that keeps him healthy,
The food he eats and the outdoor spaces where he's happy and playful.
I can go on and on and find more things that I'm grateful for that have helped him to bring joy and light to my life.
Give yourself a moment to think about something that you are grateful for.
Let it come to you easily.
Now start to think of other things that have helped to support what you're grateful for.
The stewards and caretakers of this person,
Place,
Or thing.
Little things and big things that have supported its existence.
Continue to let your gratitude multiply and expand.
See how far you can let it grow.
See how far you can let it grow.
Allowing the state of gratitude to be infinite.
Anytime that you need a shift in energy or mindset or something to uplift you,
You can come back to this practice of chains of gratitude.
See all the things that are connected and all the small miracles that have come together to bring you something that makes you happy in life.
When we allow ourselves to experience these elevated emotions of gratitude,
Joy,
Appreciation,
And love,
It helps to bring coherence between the mind and the heart.
A sweet space of balance.
I'm grateful for the time you took to meditate with me today and all the things that brought you into this moment.
Start to gently bring your awareness back to your body and your breath.
As you deepen your breath,
Come back to the expansion and release of the breath in and the breath out.
And start to slowly invite yourself back to your space.
If you had the eyes closed,
You can gently blink them open.
I thank you for sharing your time and energy with me today.
