Demystifying Fear
by Lalah Delia
Fear isn’t a warning sign. It is often just familiarity in disguise. It is the comfort of staying in control, avoiding judgment, and remaining where things feel known. This message invites you to recognize how fear tries to keep you stagnant, and to choose movement anyway. When you step forward with self-love and trust, courage rises to meet you, guiding you into growth, healing, and a more expansive, purposeful life. Embrace the unknown like an explorer, because on the other side of fear, confidence, and a grander version of life are waiting.

When I figured out what fear really is,
It changed everything for me.
I realized that fear is just familiarity.
It's familiarity with comfort.
It is familiarity with not being on the other side of the unknown.
And it's also familiarity with,
If I control things like this,
I won't be judged and I won't be critiqued,
All the things.
So fear wants you to stay where you are.
It wants you to stay stagnant.
But if you continue to move out,
Regardless of fear,
Courage catches you.
Courage meets you and a more expansive life awaits you.
So I invite you to see where can I step out on fear,
Loving myself through it,
Trusting that all will be well,
And knowing that my ability to move past what is familiar is going to help me expand my life in many ways.
It even feels healing in a lot of ways.
It feels rewarding.
It feels cathartic.
And it feels purposeful,
Reminding yourself all the time that I am not making myself move into the uncomfortable and the unknown for no reason,
But it's so I can grow,
So I cannot be here anymore,
So I can go there,
So I can get beyond this place,
This timeline,
So I can be divinely aligned,
And so I can experience life in a grander,
Greater way.
Fear loves familiarity,
But the great unknown asks us to let go of what's familiar and to trust,
To explore.
See yourself as an explorer,
As an adventurer,
Sacred curiosity.
Courage is ready to catch you,
To meet you,
And to guide you.
And from there,
Confidence awaits,
So you have some friends waiting for you on the other side of fear.
Journey well.
