A 15-minute journal practice focusing on the Throat Chakra. Vishuddha (Throat Chakra) is the bridge between the heart and the mind through sound - think about how you express yourself, ask for what you want, and listen to others. Balance in the Throat Chakra means you know how to honor yourself, set boundaries with empathy & love and express your truest self. You'll need a journal and a pen for this practice.

Welcome to this throat chakra journal practice.

You will need a pen and a journal and to be sitting somewhere quiet and comfy where you won't be disturbed.

Go ahead and start making yourself comfortable as we dive into this practice.

The element of Vishuddha is sound and balance in the throat chakra brings authenticity,

Clarity and healthy self-expression.

Start to connect to your breath and the feeling of your inhale passing in through your nose and the exhale leaving through the mouth.

Draw the inhale through your nose,

Soften your jaw as you breathe out through your mouth.

Take a few more breaths like that,

Inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth.

The next time you breathe out through the mouth,

Breathe out with a sigh.

Breathe in through the nose,

Breathe out with a long sigh.

One more time,

Inhale,

Exhale,

Sigh.

Keep breathing like that if it felt supportive,

Otherwise you can breathe in and out through the nose as you continue to soften your jaw.

Relax the roof of your mouth,

Relax your gums,

Soften your voice box.

Notice how it feels to stay soft in the jaw,

The roof of the mouth,

The tongue and the voice box.

This space is all connected to the throat chakra.

As you move through this journal practice,

Try to maintain that level of softness in the jaw,

Throat,

Tongue.

Begin to reach for your journal and your pen as we move into our first question.
