A 15-minute journal practice focusing on the Heart Chakra. Anahata (Heart Chakra) is all about feeling kindness & compassion for yourself and others - think cutting yourself some slack if things don’t quite go to plan, or using kind mothering words toward yourself when you need a break or to slow down. Balance in the Heart Chakra offers a general sense of belonging and trust in your heart as an inner compass. You'll need a journal and pen for this practice.

Welcome to this heart chakra journal practice.

You will need a pen and a journal and to be sitting somewhere quiet and comfortable where you won't be disturbed.

Go ahead and start making yourself comfortable as we dive into this practice.

The element of the Anahata chakra is air.

Balance in the heart chakra brings connection,

Compassion and acceptance.

Begin to connect to your breath,

To the feeling of the inhale and the exhale in your body.

The feeling of the air moving in and out with each breath.

Begin to soften your shoulders,

Your jaw and your belly.

As you imagine your loved ones sitting in a circle with you.

See them all around you,

Breathing with you.

As you sit in circle with your loved ones feel a sense of deep connection.

There's a harmonious exchange of energy between you and everything around you.

You feel held,

Supported and loved as you breathe in this space.

You see the beauty in everything and everyone.

Notice how this feels.

Take a few more breaths here,

Connecting into that element of air.

Slowly start to reach for your pen and your journal and begin to describe how it felt to be deeply connected to your loved ones.

Begin to finish the sentence that you're writing as we move on to the next question.
