Hello,
I'm Laia and today I want to talk to you about the practice of chair yoga.
A lot of times we may think of chair yoga as a way of practicing yoga for seniors,
For people that are recovering from injuries,
Or even for people with reduced mobility.
And of course,
Chair yoga is great for those populations,
But chair yoga truly is for everyone.
Chair yoga means practicing yoga while using a chair as your prop.
It can be great to help you with stability,
Balance and also to build strength when perhaps the shape would not be accessible to you without this prop.
Chair yoga is wonderful for all sorts of people.
If you work at an office maybe you want to do a little bit of movement between calls and you don't have the space to unroll your mat and do a practice so you can practice chair yoga right at your desk.
It is great if you drive a lot and maybe you stop at a rest area and do a few stretches before you continue driving.
It is excellent for those days where you may not feel like unrolling your mat,
Where you may want to just do something that's a little bit more gentle on the body but it still gets you moving.
So I hope that you'll give chair yoga a try and let us know what you think.
