Welcome.

Set a space for yourself where you can be uninhibited,

Uninterrupted and free of distraction.

Get yourself nice and comfortable.

Light a candle,

Perhaps even build a little nest of blankets and pillows.

We're going to explore the sensitivity of our bodies through gentle,

Loving touch and unlock deeper levels of connection between our body,

Our heart and our mind,

Allowing all three to have a beautiful interaction with each other.

So just let go and allow my voice to guide you.

I invite you to close your eyes down,

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Hold for just a moment and let out a long,

Slow sigh release,

Letting go of all muscular tension in your body.

You may feel to do this a few times.

Turn your focus from the outside world inward.

Find and feel into the rhythm of your heartbeat.

Become aware of any mental activity and just become the observer of your thoughts.

Allow those thoughts to float on by,

Free of judgment or attachment to those thoughts.

Let the mind come to rest.

Be patient with yourself.

This may take a minute.

Now let's tune in to our sense of touch.

Starting with your fingertips,

Bring one hand to meet the other.

Let the tips of your fingers find each other.

Circle and brush them over each other,

Feeling that spark,

The electricity that's available in that light touch as one finger dances over the next.

Be slow.

Tune in to the most subtle of sensations.

Now moving to the full length of each finger.

Allow the fingers to cross and pass between and around.

Give each finger a firm squeeze or gentle pull.

Explore and be creative with your touch.

Don't rush.

Allow your whole hands to be at play now.

Bring a loving caress to these hands that do so much for you,

For all their hard work.

Try to be completely open to receiving the reward that you're giving.

How does my hand want to be touched?

Or firm and strong?

Just take your time.

Bring your hands down to your toes,

The soles of your feet,

Your heels and the upper side of your foot,

All the way to the ankles.

Bring love and gratitude for all your feet do for you.

Tune in to how your feet respond to your touch.

Are you holding back?

A tickle of the feet can be highly stimulating.

How much can you relax into that overwhelming urge to tighten or to pull away from that tickle?

Slowly work your way up the lower leg,

Front and back,

Way up to the knees.

Again,

Exploring different ways to touch.

A pinch or even a scratchy touch might bring a completely different response.

Be creative and uninhibited.

Breathe with your touch.

Bring your hands back up to your lower arms,

Starting at the wrist and working upward toward the elbow.

Notice the difference in sensitivity from your outside forearm to the inside and the underside.

Find a touch that excites and stimulates.

Move around and through the elbows,

An area we can often take for granted.

Show them some appreciation.

Now slowly coming to the upper arms.

Be mindful of any self-talk or body shame that might come up here.

Try to move past that self-talk to a place of love and acceptance.

Today,

Your body is beautiful just as it is.

Take some time here.

Try not to anticipate what's next at the expense of your experience right now.

Bring that caress up to your shoulders and neck.

Switching and changing up the touch.

Finding a different response from your body in each change.

Bring your fingers to your face and let them dance across it.

Tickle the bridge of your nose.

Squeeze,

Roll and rub your temple,

Your brow and your cheeks.

Gently pull and pinch at your ears.

Run your fingers across your scalp.

Let those fingers fall down across the front of your throat.

Land at your upper chest.

Feel the strength that lies in the muscles here,

In this part of your body.

Connect with that strength as you need and caress the muscles in your upper chest.

Feel that strong heart beating underneath.

As much time as you need here.

When you're ready,

Bring the hands back down to the upper legs.

Front and back.

Massage those big juicy thighs.

Find the intensity of a light touch up the inner thigh.

Gently take some time here to play.

Run your fingers from the back of the knees up to the tops of the back of your leg.

Be playful and sensual with your touch.

Sweep on up to your abdomen and your belly.

Using all the tricks you've learnt so far to get the most out of your experience.

Be slow,

Be patient.

Take your time.

Explore your body.

When you're ready,

Cross your arms.

Bring one hand to your shoulder and the other hand to your ribs on the other side.

Give yourself a long and loving embrace.

Push past that first urge to let go.

Holding yourself just a little longer,

Roll to your side and have a tender and gentle moment with yourself before bringing your practice to a close.

Being in this practice regularly can be highly beneficial for promoting a loving connection with yourself.

It can also level up the give and receive of touch with a partner.

Feel free to journal your experience and anything that might have come up for you.

You may notice in starting out this practice that some parts of your body are less responsive.

With a regular practice,

You can notice these parts waking up and feeling more sensitive and more alive.

Thanks for listening in.

Enjoy your day.
