Hi,

My name is Kristen Ross.

I am a Soul Empowerment Guide and I am here to offer you a power alignment on the topic of self-respect.

So self-respect and self-worth are vital components of our self-love.

You cannot achieve your highest potential and purpose if you do not have a healthy sense of self-regard,

Self-worth and self-love.

A healthy sense of self-respect helps us to connect to our intuition,

To our confidence and of course to our love.

And so it is important to be able to embody and have a practice to help us embody self-respect.

Now there are three elements I'd like to introduce you to regarding self-respect.

The first is boundaries.

It is so important for us to be able to set and maintain boundaries that are in alignment with our values.

The second is our ability to hold ourself in high regard as both a human who makes mistakes and as a spiritual being with a soul journey to follow.

The third is self-love and my interpretation of self-love is having the courage to follow the heart's desires,

The soul's truth.

That is being able to live our truth.

Your level of self-respect is going to be reflected in a number of areas of your life.

It will be reflected in your relationships.

The way other people will treat you and value you will be a reflection of how you treat and value yourself.

You are their teacher.

It will be reflected in the perception that other people have of you.

That may extend out into your career.

Lack of self-respect can stop us from moving forward with our careers,

Both if we work for ourselves or if we work for other people.

Another key area in which your self-respect will be reflected in is your health.

That includes your diet,

Your exercises,

Your spiritual practices as well as your mental health practices.

If we do not respect ourselves well enough to establish healthy practices and to avoid putting toxins into our body,

We set ourselves up for ill health.

Our sense of self-respect can be reflected in our environment too.

In regards to what we accept about how and where we live,

Who do we allow into our environment,

And how we embrace our environment.

The way in which we respond to situations will also be indicative of our level of self-respect and self-worth.

Someone with a high level of self-respect should be able to maintain calm and equanimity in situations because they have a healthy sense of their boundaries and know when and how they should react in certain situations.

And in regards to boundaries,

It is so important that we are able to set boundaries in alignment with our value,

But it's even more important that we are able to maintain those boundaries and to not let peer pressure or the opinions or views of others to affect those boundaries.

So how do we practice and build self-respect?

Well,

I would advise that you treat yourself in the same way that you would treat a divine spiritual being,

That is with love,

With care and with high regard.

And I'd like to offer you an activation to help align your energy system to self-respect.

If you're comfortable closing down your eyes and stepping inward,

Paying attention to how you feel in this moment,

How your body feels connected to the chair or cushion that you're seated on,

How your vibrational field feels,

What sensations arise and tapping into your emotional field and your thought field as you repeat this affirmation to yourself.

I look upon myself with love.

I acknowledge my truth.

I give myself the time and healing I need to reach my fullest potential.

Just allowing that statement to sit in your mind-body energy matrix,

Noticing any areas that are activated,

Noticing sensations in the emotional body.

Do feelings arise?

Do thought forms arise?

Just noticing how that statement sits,

What arises,

What is activated for you.

And repeating again,

I look upon myself with love.

I acknowledge my truth.

I give myself the time and healing I need to reach my fullest potential.

Letting that sit in your system,

Breathing through any tensions.

And when you're ready,

Opening your eyes,

Knowing that you can come back to that statement at any time you become aware that your self-respect may be compromised.
