Finding a comfortable place to sit,

I invite you to close your eyes,

Knowing that as you close your physical eyes,

You open your inward gaze.

You let go of the many things or people or events that you look to for security or happiness,

And you open your inward gaze to experience the true source of all security and all happiness.

With eyes closed,

Bring your attention to the center of your chest.

The blood accepts what the cells wish to let go and all is restored and renewed within the heart.

Consciously hold the intention you have for yourself of happiness or wisdom or peace and imagine that the blood is carrying this gift to every cell of the body and to integrate and ground ourselves from this time of deep awareness.

Very slowly draw your chin downward towards your chest,

Keeping the eyes closed but watching the movement.

Notice the stretch in the muscles of the neck and shoulders.

Feel the movement of the head as it extends downward.

Then very slowly rotate the head moving the left ear towards the left shoulder.

And as you are able,

Watching the movement,

Rotate the head backward,

Bringing the face upwards and continuing the movement,

Bringing the right ear to the right shoulder and the chin down to the chest.

Raise the face and the head to a comfortable upward position.

And when you are ready,

Draw the palms together in front of the heart and open your eyes to greet the day.
