Come on in! This guided meditation is great for after a tense interaction or experience. Together, we will notice and appreciate our good friend, the breath, before we scan the body for an area where tension is hiding out. We will then activate and shine magical light energy throughout your body to loosen the tension, moving on to meet with the soothing, warm, wise energy of your heart center. You will then be ready to program your body to metabolize the tension so you can emerge into a better feeling reality. By the end, you will be better able to handle emotions related to relationship tension, allowing the best possible outcomes to more easily reach you.

Hello my friend,

I'm really glad you're here.

I know sometimes tense interactions can be really uncomfortable and your body can get that response of an increased heart rate or that tightness in your stomach,

The wash of frustration.

Let's just say I know the feeling and I know how uncomfortable it can be.

This meditation should help.

For now,

In whatever way you can,

Settle in so that you're sitting or lying in a comfy position.

If you want,

You can channel a cat lounging on a still sunny day.

Since the best first step is always awareness,

Let's do some noticing.

Notice your body.

Notice how cool it is to have your very own highly advanced machine called your body.

You have a head and a neck and shoulders and a heart and lungs that work for you all day.

Pay attention to the middle of your body.

You'll notice it's breathing.

What is your breath doing?

Is it going in and out just a little bit?

A medium amount?

Or a lot?

Is your breathing going slow?

Fast?

Or maybe more jagged?

How amazing that it goes in and out all on its own and that if we want to,

We can also regulate it manually.

Let's take about 20 seconds or so to watch what our breath does and help it find a nice rhythm.

Now that we've tuned in a little bit,

Let's see what your body is wanting to tell you.

See if you can find where your tenseness likes to hang out and huff and puff.

Is it in a tightened chest?

Is it your upturned tummy?

Or maybe a clenching jaw?

Or in your shoulders?

When you find the part of your body where your tension is hiding out,

See if you can peek in like you would to an upset child and say something like,

Hi,

I see you.

That part of your body is making a cry for help and sometimes it just wants to be seen with compassionate eyes.

Then it can relax.

Give it permission to be exactly the way that it is right now.

Discomfort is normal.

Also give it permission to relax if and when it is ready.

For now,

Let's just be with it for a minute.

I'll be here with you too.

So you may be feeling a little bit more relaxed or you may be feeling the same as you were.

You could even be feeling more tense than you were before.

It's all normal and it's all part of your body completing its feeling cycle.

Regardless the state that you're in,

Are you ready for some magic?

Imagine you are surrounded by pure goodness.

Every air particle is pure well-being,

Calmness,

And lightness.

So on your next inhale,

Imagine you're breathing in all the yummy goodness around you.

The glittering pure energy hiding in plain sight with the power to soothe and heal anything.

Give it a color.

Maybe it's glittering gold,

Maybe a shimmery aquamarine,

Or a prismatic soft white.

Feel how nice it feels as it comes in through your mouth,

Into your lungs,

And then miraculously to every one of your trillions of cells.

On your next inhale,

Direct the light sparkling energy to the part of your body that contains the tension.

If there's more than one part of your body,

You can send it to all of the parts or just pick the one that's calling out to you the most.

Feel the light giving little kisses or massages to the tension so that it loosens up a little bit and begins to dissipate.

On your exhale,

Imagine the energy you just breathed in has gathered up and neutralized all the frustration,

Annoyance,

Fear,

Or any other type of icky feeling stuff that was in there.

See it all leaving your body like a mist into nothingness.

Inhale the light,

Colorful energy.

Exhale the jagged energy you don't need.

Inhale the calming feeling.

Exhale the chaotic one.

Believe it or not,

It really is like magic and you're doing it perfectly.

Keep breathing in and out and releasing for another minute or so.

If your mind goes back to thinking about the annoying thing that you were dealing with or thinking about anything else,

That's totally fine.

Just when you notice your thoughts wandering,

Say,

No,

No,

No,

Sweetie,

Overhear thoughts this way.

Back to the pretty sparkling light or if you'd like,

Shine the light all over your negative thoughts until all the light energy covers everything with its brilliant,

Neutralizing,

Majestic presence.

Now that things are calibrating,

Let's pay a special visit to your heart center.

This is the place where your heart lives.

It is a wise and loving place and it contains the essence of who you are.

Your heart area not only pretty much knows everything,

But it has the power to easily reach every nook and cranny of your body very quickly in a literal heartbeat.

It emits the most soothing,

Warmest,

Most caring light energy you can imagine.

The light expands from your center outward through each part of your body and beyond it.

It soothes and warms and cares for all the tense spots and the areas that contain anger or agitation.

The tightness you feel might try to hang on,

But the heart is incessant.

Think about how consistently it beats every second of every minute of every day.

It's basically telling tension,

I'm not going to stop,

I can do this all day.

And it will.

Whether you're aware of it or not,

It will keep emitting its love and wisdom and comfort.

And so let's be honest,

Your tension doesn't stand a chance.

Feel the warm,

Gorgeous light spreading from your chest,

All over your torso,

Down your legs and your arms,

To your finger and toe tips,

And beyond,

Filling the space around you and continuing to move outward.

Let's just bask in this for a bit.

And remember,

Whenever your thoughts go here and there or think of unpleasant things,

Just bring yourself back to looking at and feeling the soothing light.

Our minds and our bodies,

On a more subtle level,

Are now calmer,

More equipped and more open to jumping into a new type of reality.

Let's reprogram our thoughts and beliefs a little bit,

So we can come out of this meditation into a world that looks and feels better over the coming hours and days.

Repeat these new programming statements,

Silently or out loud,

And add in some emotion so you feel their meaning in your body.

Ready?

I am valid in the way I'm feeling,

And the feeling will subside.

I am letting the tension complete its cycle and exit my body.

I am now going to allow the universe to guide me to the best possible outcome.

Let it be in your body for a minute.

These aren't just words,

They're reality.

Okay,

Now that things have settled a bit,

And a new,

Better reality is here,

Bring your awareness back to the feeling of your body being supported by whatever it is you're sitting or lying on.

Wake up fingers and toes,

Give them a little wiggle.

Wake on up,

Body.

Take a nice deep breath,

And as you exhale,

Imagine all this good,

Light,

Calming energy sealing in and staying with you for the rest of the day and night.

When you decide so,

If you haven't already,

Slowly open your eyes.

You just did a very good thing for yourself.

You chose awareness and a peaceful path forward.

Not everyone would know how to do that.

And whenever you want,

Any time of the day or night,

You can come back,

And I'll be here for another energy reset.
