Spirit Guide Meeting - Human Design Mind Center Yoga Nidra
by Kayla Mason
REVIEW YOUR HUMAN DESIGN BEFORE PRACTICING: see if you have a DEFINED (colorful) or UNDEFINED (white) Mind Center (second Triangle down from the top) This Yoga Nidra is part of a series of meditations that focus on releasing the limiting beliefs built up in each Human Design energy center. In this specific meditation, you will be guided to choose your own path to relaxation, visit your own Magical Forest, and then meet one of your Spirit Guides, as we work to decondition the Mind Center. I will guide you back to wakefulness at the end of this meditation.
Transcript
We are going to start in a seated position for this yoga nidra.
So just let yourself get comfortable in a seated position.
You can sit up straight or you can lean on something.
Close your eyes and just get present with your body.
Just begin to watch your breath,
Noticing it going in and out of your body,
Noticing your breath moving in and out,
And feeling your lower body sinking into the seat below you.
Just letting your body feel stable,
Grounded,
At one with the earth.
And as you're watching your breath moving in and out of your body,
Allow your mind to clear.
Give yourself permission to not think about anything in particular.
If any thoughts come up,
Just allow them to float away,
Almost as if they were clouds.
Allow your mind to be something of a blank canvas,
An infinite realm of possibility,
Just waiting to be handed a paintbrush.
And then we're going to tap into the mind and decide how we want to relax the body today.
If you have a defined mind center in human design,
Watch as the information you've gathered as you've relaxed previously informs how you want to set yourself up today.
Remember the way that you've laid down.
Remember the things that felt most relaxing to you.
Remember how you set up your blankets.
Allow yourself to gather the information and choose the things that feel most aligned for you.
And if you have an undefined mind center in human design,
I invite you to imagine your mind opening up and being receptive to the guidance that's available to you from your intuition and from any spirit guides that you may already connect with.
And allow the concept of what it is like for you to relax,
To come into your mind space and note what things you want to employ today.
And now from this space,
I invite you to literally visualize yourself relaxing.
See yourself on the bed or the couch,
Wherever you're going to be relaxing.
See yourself relaxing.
Notice the way that you place your hands.
Notice if you have an eye pillow on your face or a pillow under your knees.
Notice if you have a blanket on your body and what kind of blanket.
Try not to create any expectations in here.
Just visualize from a place of curiosity and allow your inner knowing to choose the things that you'll try out.
Focus on the different possibilities.
And now allow yourself to let go of this visualization and trust that you've done enough organizing to be able to act with your body now.
You can open your eyes and begin to build your yoga nidra nest.
Use your plan as a starting point,
But check in with your authority,
Your inner knowing for every decision that you make.
So if in your visualization you had a big cozy blanket on your body,
But then you grab the blanket and you put it on yourself and you feel too warm,
Let your inner knowing decide how you're going to relax.
And if you had decided that you wanted to try a new prop,
Perhaps an eye pillow or maybe pillows underneath your hands,
Grab those.
Or maybe you wanted to try a different position.
Maybe you wanted to try being on your side or placing your hands on your body.
Allow yourself to explore the possibilities.
If you need to pause the recording to finish setting yourself up,
Feel free to do that now.
And once you have chosen your props and you feel sound in the positioning that you've chosen,
Then close your eyes.
And from this moment,
Relax your eyes from the world of looking and seeing.
Give your eyes permission to rest.
We spend so much time looking for things and seeing things all day long.
So in this moment,
Allow your eyes to release.
And even if you still have adjustments to make to your body,
Allow your eyes to stay closed.
Your body knows what it needs.
And once you have found your perfect yoga nidra nest for this moment,
Let's just check in with each section of your body.
And again,
Check in with your authority,
Your inner knowing,
Starting with your head and neck.
Notice the choice that you've made,
The possibilities that you had considered.
And now check in with your authority.
And then invite stillness into your head and neck.
Feeling the muscles of the face,
Relax.
Feeling the muscles of the neck,
Soften.
And then bring your awareness to your shoulders,
Your shoulder blades,
And your arms and hands.
And again,
Notice what you had planned,
The possibilities that you considered,
And then check in with your authority and make any necessary adjustments.
And now check in with your chest and your belly,
Your mid back,
Your whole torso area.
And again,
Notice what was your plan?
What possibilities did you consider?
And now check in with your authority.
And then on your next out breath,
Allow the whole back,
Upper,
Middle,
And lower to relax deep into the surface below you.
And allow the front of your torso,
Your chest and your belly to relax and sink deep into the surface beneath you.
And your arms as well.
And hands.
Just feel all of the muscles in your arms and hands.
Relaxing wherever they are and trust that you've chosen exactly the positioning that you need right now.
And moving into your hips and legs,
Feet.
Again,
Notice what your plan was,
The possibilities that you considered,
And then notice what your authority wanted to happen.
And then allow your tailbone and buttocks and buttocks to sink into the surface beneath you.
And to allow your legs and feet to splay outward if that feels good for you.
Relax.
Inviting stillness into your body.
And in this moment,
Acknowledge that while remaining still is ideal,
If you do find that you need to move at any point during this practice,
You can feel totally empowered to do so.
And that you also may choose to stay awake for this entire practice.
But to acknowledge that if you do fall asleep,
That you will get exactly what you were meant to from this practice today.
And now I want you to notice what the most relaxed part of your body is.
Most relaxed.
Feeling it soften and then allow the other parts of your body to follow suit and almost sink into the relaxation that that part of your body has already achieved.
Sometimes we are looking for proof that we can do something.
And in this moment,
There is a part of your body that is already relaxed.
So acknowledging that you can relax.
It's a beautiful way to give yourself permission to relax completely.
And from here,
Begin to notice all of the sounds that you can hear outside.
Notice all of the sounds that you can hear as far away from you as possible.
Cars on the road or maybe an animal outside.
And allow your ears to jump from sound to sound,
Not settling on any one sound for too long.
And then begin to let your awareness settle on the sounds that you can hear in the room that you're currently in.
Noticing the ticking of a clock or the hum of electricity.
And again,
Jump from sound to sound without focusing on any one for too long.
And now allow your focus to settle on the sounds that you can hear within your own body.
The sound of your heart beating,
Of your breath in your lungs.
And again,
Jump from sound to sound,
Not focusing for too long on any one sound,
Just jumping from one to the next.
And now let that go and allow your awareness to land on your third eye,
The space between your eyebrows.
And see a deep indigo light shining at your third eye.
And every time that you breathe in,
Watch this indigo light grow.
And as you breathe out,
Watch it relax,
Release,
And soften.
Watch as this light pulses,
This beautiful indigo light growing as you inhale and softening as you exhale.
And notice if this light has any smoke or cloudiness stuck inside of it,
Any stagnant energy.
And if there is anything in there,
Actively push it out with your exhale.
And so on your inhale,
Allow the light to shine bright.
And on your exhale,
Allow any stagnant or smoky,
Foggy energy to leave your body so that it's no longer clouding your third eye.
Watching the light brighten on the inhale and releasing any stagnant energy on the exhale.
Continue to cleanse this energy for a few moments.
Now take one more inhale and exhale and let all of the stagnant energy that's still left in that indigo light of your third eye to dissipate,
Leaving you with a beautiful,
Bright,
Intuitive light shining from your third eye.
In human design,
We discuss how the brain,
The mind is not meant for making decisions,
But for gathering information.
And yet in the chakra system,
The Ajna is where our intuition lies.
The mind center and the Ajna center are very closely linked.
The intuition that comes through this mind center comes from a different place.
Your authority speaks through your body and that intuitive energy.
And the information that you gather can help inform this and can help you to find the answers you seek and the understanding that you need to be able to have breakthroughs,
To see what you need to see in order to listen to your inner knowing.
So from this third eye,
Notice if there's anything that you can see,
Any intention that's bubbling up that you need to express right now.
Notice what's coming up here.
Perhaps ask yourself the question,
What do I need to remember right now?
And once that intention has bubbled up to the top,
The first one that comes to you is usually the right one.
Allow it to come into an I am statement.
If you're having trouble coming up with an intention or sankalpa and you have a defined mind,
You have a clear sense of the things that you understand,
But may get caught in specific ways of thinking.
So it might be beneficial for you to use the sankalpa,
I am curious.
And if you have an undefined mind,
You have the ability to see all sides of a situation at once,
But may feel insecure about your own depth of knowledge.
So if you have an undefined mind,
Perhaps try the sankalpa,
I am wise.
And once you have your sankalpa prepared in your mind,
Repeat it to yourself three times and then let it go and trust that it will be there for you when you need it.
And then allow your attention to land once more on that light in your third eye center.
And as I mention each part of the body,
See that beautiful indigo light illuminating that part of your body,
Starting with the right hand thumb,
Pointer finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger,
Pinky finger,
The tips of all five fingers at once.
Seeing that indigo light shining from the back of the right hand,
The palm of the right hand,
The whole right hand all at once.
Seeing the whole right arm illuminated with indigo light,
With indigo light,
Right shoulder,
Right waist,
Hip,
Knee,
The whole right leg,
Top of the right foot,
Sole of the right foot,
Right big toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
And pinky toe.
Seeing the whole right side of the body illuminated with deep bright indigo light,
The whole right side of the body,
The whole right side at once.
And then move the energy to the left hand thumb,
Pointer finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger,
Pinky finger.
Seeing the tips of all five fingers lit up with indigo light,
The back of the left hand,
Palm of the left hand,
The whole left hand as one,
Then the whole left arm illuminated with indigo light,
Left shoulder,
Waist,
Hip,
Knee,
The whole left leg,
Top of the left foot,
Sole of the left foot,
Left big toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
And pinky toe.
Feeling the whole left side as one.
Seeing the whole left side illuminated with indigo light,
The whole left side all at once.
Moving to the back of the body,
Seeing that indigo light illuminating both heels,
The back of both knees,
Of both legs at once,
The whole buttocks,
The lower back,
Middle back,
Both shoulder blades,
Both shoulders.
Both shoulders.
Seeing the indigo light illuminating the entire spine from the tip of your tailbone to the nape of your neck.
Feeling the whole back of your body at once.
Seeing the whole back of your body illuminated with indigo light all at once.
And then seeing the whole front of your body illuminated at once.
The whole front of the body,
Allowing that light to land at the crown of the head.
Seeing the crown of the head illuminated.
Then the right ear,
Middle of the mind.
Left ear,
Middle of the mind.
The forehead,
Seeing the third eye shining forth with that indigo light.
And seeing that light illuminating both physical eyes at once.
Seeing that light encompassing all three eyes all at once.
Both physical eyes and the third eye center at once.
Seeing the cheeks illuminated,
The jaw,
The lips,
The teeth,
Gums,
Tongue.
Seeing the whole head illuminated with indigo light.
The whole head.
Then seeing the entire body illuminated with indigo light.
The entire body radiating bright indigo light.
Whole body at once.
Now allow your awareness to land on your breath.
Just watching as it moves in and out of your body.
And begin to count backwards on the breath in this way.
From the number 23.
Inhale 23.
Exhale 23.
Inhale 22.
Exhale 22.
And continue counting back with the breath until you hear the sound of my voice once more.
If you find that you lose the count,
Just start back at 23 and begin counting backward again.
There's no wrong way to do this.
Now let go of the count and find yourself in the middle of a magical forest of your own design.
Allow yourself to stand up and look around in your own magical forest.
Notice what's here.
Are there trees,
Shrubs,
Flowers,
Mosses?
What kind of trees are here?
What color are they?
Allow yourself to explore your own mystical forest and let yourself be curious about what you find here.
There are no rules in your magical forest.
Anything that you want in your forest exists.
Allow yourself to notice how the forest floor feels on your feet.
Notice the color of the sky,
The smell of the forest,
The sounds that you hear.
And then you hear running water and you find yourself being drawn toward the running water.
And you know there's something over there that you need to experience.
So you begin to follow the sound of the running water.
And as you're walking through the forest,
The sound of the running water is getting louder and you can continue to notice new possibilities.
As you walk,
Maybe the trees change color,
Maybe the ground feels different,
Maybe the animals can talk.
And as you're exploring and hearing the water,
Suddenly you catch a whiff of what smells like home.
And you look up and find that you've arrived at the stream.
And right by the stream there's this big beautiful tree.
A tree that seems like it's been there for millennia.
A tree that has withstood the test of time and you can see the tree is beautiful and carries wisdom beyond understanding within it.
And suddenly you realize that in this moment you are here to meet one of your spirit guides.
And you turn around and your spirit guide is right there.
Notice what this spirit guide looks like.
What form do they take?
What color are they?
What species?
Or are they entirely otherworldly?
Allow this spirit guide to materialize in front of your eyes and know that they are here to guide you and you alone.
Ask your spirit guide what their name is and hear the answer.
And if there are any questions that you are dying to ask,
Ask.
And if you're having trouble thinking of any questions,
Maybe try asking the spirit guide,
What do I need to focus more on?
Hear the answer.
And then maybe ask,
What do I need to focus less on?
And hear the answer.
And then perhaps ask the question,
How can I better listen to my inner knowing?
Hear the answer.
Allow yourself to talk with your spirit guide and to get any information that you're hoping to find.
And then pause your conversation and acknowledge that you can speak to this spirit guide at any point.
All you need to do is call them and take a moment to thank your spirit guide for showing up,
For being here for you.
And acknowledge that this is not goodbye.
This is just so long.
Now that you've met this spirit guide,
You are able to speak to them whenever you need guidance.
Whenever you're having trouble listening to your inner knowing,
You are invited and allowed to call upon this spirit guide to speak to them.
About whatever it is that you are struggling with at the moment.
And just before your spirit guide walks off,
They give you a folded slip of paper and say to you,
Always remember you know what you need.
And you're alone in the forest once more.
In this moment alone,
You are able to speak to them and you're alone in the forest once more.
In this moment,
Allow yourself to look around your magical forest one more time and really take in the beauty that surrounds you.
Noticing the animals,
The plants,
The trees,
The air.
Noticing how beautiful this place that you've created is.
This sanctuary that you created in your own mind.
And then take the slip of paper that your spirit guide gave you and open it up and written on the paper,
You find your Sankalpa,
Your intention written down,
Reminding you that you in fact do know what you need.
And the truth has been in your Sankalpa all along.
As you look around your forest,
You notice that there's a clearing up ahead that has what looks like a very comfortable space to lay down.
You walk over to the clearing and you take one more look around your forest and then lay down and stare up at the sky for a moment just taking in the beauty.
And then close your eyes and allow yourself to step away from that forest,
Acknowledging that you can return to this beautiful sanctuary in any moment.
And begin to remember where you are in physical space right now.
Allow yourself to come back to that plan that you had for your body.
Visualize the room that you're in.
Notice what your body feels like now.
Notice what the most relaxed part of your body feels like.
And then begin to notice how the points of contact up against the surface beneath you feel.
How your hands feel right now touching blankets or clothing or the surface below you.
How the back of your head feels on the pillow.
And then slowly begin to wake your body up,
Inviting small movements into your fingers and toes.
Maybe giving yourself a stretch.
Maybe moving your spine or your legs.
Doing anything that feels good for you right now.
Keeping your eyes closed and then turn on to one side and allow yourself to rest in the fetal position for a few moments just to recalibrate.
And when you're ready you can push yourself up into a seated position.
Keep your eyes closed.
Once you are settled in a seated position you can slowly open your eyes and take in the room around you and find at least three things that you can find new gratitude for or things that you hadn't noticed before.
Allow yourself to bring the curiosity and the sense of infinite possibility that you cultivated in this practice into the present moment and your waking life.
And once you feel content you can bring your palms together and hold them at heart center.
And we'll just do one om to close our practice.
You can leave your eyes open or you can close them.
We'll inhale and exhale and inhale for om.
Om.
