As the words of this meditation were coming out of me,
I was actually in a mood of lots of emotion,
Frustration,
Anger,
Major stress,
Heaviness about my little world and the big world at large,
And just feeling a lot of emotion.
And writing these words was my way of wanting to pull myself out of that and remember that I am light.
And all of these emotions are temporary.
And if I could just really connect to that knowing,
I could shine anyway,
No matter what I was going through.
So my hope is that these words find you at a moment in life when you can be reminded that you are light and you can shine anyway.
There are voices in your head that scream,
There are voices in your head that scream,
You're not enough,
You're too much.
Forget that dream,
Shine anyway.
There are whispers from others that haunt,
There are whispers from others that haunt,
You're gonna fail,
It's not possible,
That's stupid to want,
Shine anyway.
Shine by coming deep within.
Knowing who you are,
Where you've been,
Shine even when it's dark,
Knowing you'll never lose your spark.
When you're not flat on the ground,
Feeling lost,
Deflated and tired,
Like you're going to drown,
Shine anyway.
When grief shatters your fragile heart,
Pieces of you scattered around,
Your soul torn apart,
Shine anyway.
Shine by surrendering the pain,
Asking divine to let love remain.
Shine as a prayer to the world voice,
So tenderly heard.
If only you could see the enormity of your glow,
You would then be free to expand and overflow.
No matter where you are,
What battle left a scar,
You shine from deep within,
Your fiery flame will never dim when all you feel is doubt,
Depression,
Anxiety and a drought,
Shine anyway,
Cause who you are is light,
Your soul,
Your smile,
You're made to be bright.
Every cell that weaves together your body,
Each one makes you better.
Shine,
Shine,
Shine.
Namaste,
Beautiful.
