I told you to calm down,
I told you to breathe,
I thought you would get that.
Life isn't what you see,
But you just kept looking at the weeds at your feet,
You just wouldn't look up to see the garden of dreams.
Instead,
Your heart pounded,
Anxiety and fear arose as your mind rattled through all the worst-case scenarios.
I sat down beside you and held your sweet hand.
You'll see so much more,
I whispered,
If you would just stand.
You squeezed my hand tightly,
You knew that I was there,
But your eyes just wouldn't divert from that painful,
Deep stare.
So then I reached out and put my hand on your heart,
And I filled you with love to light up your dark.
You gasped a big breath,
As if it were your first.
Your eyes glistened with light,
Suddenly you were immersed.
Where am I,
You asked,
Breathless from the view.
Right here,
Right now,
I said,
It's always here in you.
Your tears fell down fast,
Your gaze returned to the weeds.
They now looked so small,
The whole garden was now seen.
You feel it in your heart,
You know it in your soul.
Life is lived right here,
Right now.
You are loved,
You are whole.
Namaste,
Beautiful,
Beautiful,
Beautiful.
