A Halloween Story All hallows eve with thinnest of veils, The earth is all dancing of mermaids and scales. In time you will see that all is not lost, The goblins and ghouls and witches are fraught, With timeless intent, With joy upon joy, To help every human, Each girl and each boy, To see who they are, What's there deep inside, Below any heartache, Anger or pride. We all have a core, Deep deep in our souls, It's made of just love from our heads to our toes. The love that I have deep deep in my soul, Is the same love that you have, We're all made of gold. So shiny and brilliant, We must learn to see, That what's inside you is too inside me. The masks that we wear look different enough, Our faces and colors and shapes call our bluff, Cause under the masks we're all just the same, We all want to be loved and we want to be seen, For just who we are without being mean. So if you're out today with friends or with ghouls, Remember inside us we're all silly fools who still need to laugh and still need to play, Even when it's hard despite what they say, It's loving and caring and kindness my dear, That connects us all and gets rid of fear.
