Mahalo and welcome to this meditation which is a deep dive into ourselves.
Close your eyes and feel yourself diving deep deep into the ocean,
Sinking down down down deep into the sea.
And the deeper you get,
Breathe in and realise that you can breathe underwater.
Go down even further,
Deep deep,
Until you find yourself in a channel of blue,
And put your arms out and stretch them as if you were swimming,
But it's more effortless than that,
Just floating through this channel in the warm.
And feel your effortlessly lapping your arms within the deep,
And as you dive down even further,
You know you are here to find something,
Something precious from the dark deep,
And you see something coming towards you,
It's dark,
Blue,
Big,
A whale with an open mouth,
And you know,
That as frightened and as fearful as you might feel,
You are reaching into the mouth of your monster to find that precious thing,
That one thing that you need to know today,
You are reaching for the lei or the rei,
A precious whale tooth,
That thing you've been looking for for so long,
And as you reach and pull that tooth,
Feel it,
The wound of it inside your own body,
You are searching for the hard,
Heavy and wounded places in your own body,
That which is not light,
That which feels like ache,
Wound,
Worry,
That has never been lifted,
Never been healed,
Never been released,
Reach down into these deep blue,
Watery memories,
To find that harm that you've been carrying,
Feel yourself sinking deeper into the water,
And feel the hurt in your underwater body,
The weight that still resides there,
And breathe into the bits that are hard,
And as you feel your way into that hard,
And the way that this memory is imprinted on your skin,
And how it breathes deep into your presence,
Open yourself to a wonder,
Whether you have any desire to release this burden that you carry,
And this precious lei,
Rei,
Whale's tooth in your hand,
Who do you need to give it to,
Is it you,
That needs to receive it,
This precious knowing,
Or is it something you need to gift to someone else,
What would it feel like,
As you exhale,
Now feel yourself swimming upwards,
Soft kicking of feet,
And above you,
You can see the light,
The blue and the bright,
Can see yourself coming up to surface,
And as you kick and journey,
The blue fades lighter and lighter,
And then whiter and whiter,
Until it's transparent,
And you're up at the surface,
Take a deep breath and breathe,
And look at this precious tooth in your hand,
And know that that precious lei,
That precious rei,
Will be a blessing to you today,
Let this salt water enter your body,
Knowing that it can heal whatever it touches,
This salt water,
So similar to your own tears,
Offer the wounding up to the ocean itself,
The stinging cleaning of this place where you have been harmed,
And you can decide now,
What you want to do,
Whether you choose to give this lei away,
Or keep it,
That precious knowing,
And now release the last of your heaviness,
Knowing that the ocean herself will carry you,
Keep you afloat,
And feel her,
The body water of the world,
The ocean,
Perfectly capable of carrying your weight,
You've done so well today,
Find yourself in the healing arms of her water,
And know that all will be well,
Feel yourself in the warmth of her waters,
Of her energy,
Her movement,
And flow.
