Disappointments,
Disappointments are to be expected.
Failure,
Failure does not define you.
Failure should encourage you.
Failure is the road map to success.
Doubt,
Doubt is natural.
But it is not defining.
You can doubt and still be a success.
You can doubt and still move forward.
It is okay to doubt,
But do not take doubt as a signal to stop.
You can change lanes,
You can reassess,
But doubt should not stop you.
And if you are moving slowly,
Slower than anyone else has gone,
You are still moving.
There is still momentum.
Fear,
Who doesn't know fear?
Fear is everyone's close friend.
Fear is seen on every channel.
Fear is written about daily.
Fear has fans.
Fear controls governments.
Fear is the first thing we see.
Fear is often the last thing we feel.
Fear is superfluous.
It never seems to run out.
But fear is not defining.
Fear is everywhere,
But it has no actual strength.
Fear is a show-off,
But it has no real skill.
Fear is a bully,
Picking away at your inadequacies and self-doubt.
So when you feel fear,
There is not something wrong with you.
Fear is an unwelcome guest.
Fear knows that it will be seen.
Though it may be hard to ignore the presence of fear,
You can still move forward.
Fear is an obnoxious roommate.
Fear is that inept relative,
Comparing you to who you used to be.
Fear is that loud car that drives down the street backfiring as you're trying to study.
Fear is that landlord that regularly stops by and makes you feel uncomfortable,
Tells you that the place looks a mess when they know you are a wonderful tenant,
But they just want you to fix their place,
Keep its spick and span,
Should you ever leave and find better pastures.
Fear is ultimately useless.
It can do nothing on its own.
It has to scare you to make progress.
Fear does not define you.
Fear is an element,
A useless element.
Fear is like oxygen,
Though you don't need it to live.
It is in the atmosphere.
Gravity has no effect on it.
Sunlight doesn't change it.
It is just around.
It causes unnecessary harm.
Like a virus,
It isn't really alive,
But it causes stress.
But like a virus,
It can be reprogrammed.
It can be given purpose.
Use fear to defeat stagnation.
Use fear to remind you of your path.
Use fear to motivate yourself.
Use fear the way fear tries to use you.
But do not overdose on fear.
Do not become addicted to fear.
Do not work for fear.
Fear should work for you.
Fear has no real goals.
Fear has no ambition.
Fear is weak.
You are strong.
You are mighty.
Fear is afraid of you.
By its nature,
It can't comprehend you.
Fear wants to know how you could have achieved so much
when it was afraid to get out of bed.
Use fear like a schedule,
Like a watch.
Allow it to remind you of tasks.
Allow it to motivate you.
But don't give it your plans.
Don't let it in on the mission.
Don't trust it to get tasks done.
Use it like coffee.
Let it boost you and your ambition.
But you owe it no favors.
It does nothing for the purpose of actually helping you.
Its mere existence is a lie.
You have purpose.
Fear has none.
Doubt.
Fear.
Hatred.
Anger.
Failure.
All of these things
mean nothing without you.
What you give them gives them purpose.
And you,
You are special.
You have the purpose.
They want to be you.
But they never will be.
They want to have your purpose.
But they never will.
Use them.
Or forget them.
But never be shackled by them.
How could dust chain you down?
And they are less than dust.
How could a caterpillar
scare you?
And they are less than caterpillars.
How could a flea
make you doubt your path?
And they have less purpose than fleas.
You are mighty.
You are success.
You are ambition.
You are purpose.
Define yourself.
And never let what is floating in the atmosphere without purpose
define you.
Your journey matters.
Don't get distracted by the weather.
