Find a comfortable position,
Either sitting or laying down.
Close your eyes or soften your gaze and take a deep breath in,
Another breath in.
Allow your body to settle and relax here,
Feeling your body become a little bit heavier and more relaxed with each and every breath.
Feel your eyes relax.
Feel your jaw soften.
Feel your body sinking down into the surface beneath you.
As we wind down our day,
Let's take a few moments to reflect.
I'd like you to ask yourself,
What went really well today?
What are you proud of?
What are you thankful for?
What was something that happened that you just feel really grateful for?
And lastly,
What is one positive thought that you'd like to keep with you as you drift off to sleep this evening?
What is one positive thought,
An affirmation such as,
I am beautiful,
I am kind,
I am doing my best,
I'm grateful for this life?
Choose any thought that feels good to you and repeat it to yourself three times.
And once again,
Bring your attention back to your body,
Back to your breath.
Take another deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Feel your eyes relax,
Feel your jaw softening,
Feel the heaviness of your whole body sinking down into the surface beneath you.
Take this sense of relaxation into your evening.
