Sometimes,
It's difficult to rest when we're tired because we feel we should be productive.
So we push through exhaustion,
Ignoring the whispers of the body asking for rest.
We feel we should do more,
Take more action,
Make something happen.
And when we're not in action,
We label ourselves as lazy,
Unproductive,
And on a subconscious level,
We may even label ourselves as being unworthy.
I'm here to remind you that your worth is not tied to your productivity levels.
Your worth is innate,
Period.
You don't have to earn your worth.
You already are worthy,
Even if you were conditioned to believe otherwise.
Let this truth sink in.
Place a hand on your belly,
And the other hand on your heart,
And take a deep breath in.
Feel your body breathing.
Feel this beautiful,
Magnificent body of yours,
The miracle that is you.
If you feel resistance to this idea that you already are worthy,
Simply notice this resistance,
Kindly,
With compassion.
Breathe,
And say to yourself,
I love you.
You are a miracle.
You simply are.
Allow yourself to rest,
Feeling your body breathing itself,
The belly rising and falling with each breath,
In and out.
Rest here,
For as long as you need to.
Rest well,
My friend.
