Welcome to the still pool meditation.
Lie or sit in a comfortable position.
Take a second or two to settle down.
And make yourself really comfortable.
Become aware of the surface that you are lying or sitting on underneath you.
Observe where your body makes contact with it.
Your feet.
You like.
Your buttocks your back the shoulders.
The backs of your arms and hands.
Ahead.
You don't need to change anything.
Just observe.
And feel.
Let that surface take your ways.
You don't need to.
You can let your muscles relax.
Gently close your eyes.
And imagine you are sat.
On the edge.
Of a still,
Deep pool of water.
Its depths make it dark blue in colour.
Its surface is motionless.
Is to think.
You can't see into it.
But you know instinctively.
That this is a powerful.
And positive place to be.
Take a deep breath and see the water in front of you.
Imagine.
It's coolness.
Feel the silkiness.
Imagine.
The deaths.
As you breathe,
Slowly and rhythmically.
In through your nose.
If you can,
And out through your mouth.
Imagine first of all.
Any tension you feel in your body.
Slides into the depths of the water on your out-breath.
Just feel it go.
Release it into the depths of the pool.
Where it will sink.
And be not part of your today.
With the in-breath imagined didn't reach in the pool.
Is sending up into your body.
Gentle.
Revitalizing energy.
With the next out breath.
Send into the pool any fears or worries that have been circling your mind today.
Just thank them for their presence and send them on.
Down into the pool.
The pool has the capacity to hold them.
You can release them and let them go into the depths.
With your next in-breath.
Clear blue revitalising energy.
From the pool.
Focus it into your lower back.
Into the area where your kidney sits.
Take a couple of deep slow,
Quiet breaths.
Then,
On a night breath.
Send tiredness.
Lack of energy.
Exhaustion.
Into the depths of the pool.
They don't serve you at the moment and you can let them go.
As she breathed in.
Accept the gift of revitalizing energy and blue light from the still water beneath you.
Inhale it through your nose.
And see the bright blue light.
Spreading out throughout your body.
Feel its cool,
Revitalizing presence.
And acknowledge.
You are feeling refreshed.
And revitalized.
Take a long slow breath.
Thank the pool for its gifts,
For the energy that it's given you.
For the burdens that it has taken from you.
Welcome.
Support.
And acknowledge.
That this is a gift that you can return to whenever you need to.
Take one more deep breath,
Sending energy to your extremities,
To your fingers,
To your toes,
To the top of your head.
On your next out breath,
Start wiggling your fingers and your toes.
And come gently back to your body.
Take a deep breath in.
And out.
If you're lying on your side.
If you're lying on your back,
Roll gently to your side.
And allow yourself a moment or two before coming to an upright position.
Sit and take another deep breath.
Give your body a good shake and carry on with your day.
