Notice the sensations and perceptions of your body,
The feelings,
The smells,
The sounds.
Be here now.
Feel gratitude for yourself for spending the time to work on you,
The quality of your life,
Your health and well-being.
Gently begin to shift your focus to your inner body.
Breathe into your feet and on the exhale,
Think of them releasing tension.
Now feel your lower legs.
Exhale and release.
Shift your focus to your knees and your upper legs.
When you release on the exhale,
You can think of those parts as melting or relaxing.
Now feel the aliveness in your pelvic region including your behind.
Move to your belly and lower back.
Feel the warmth and aliveness in your chest and upper back.
Now your hands and forearms continue to release on the exhales.
Feel your elbow and upper arms,
Your shoulders and clavicle area into your neck.
Now feel the aliveness of the different parts of your face and scalp and head.
Exhale,
Release.
Now feel a warm glow in your heart and smile from the heart.
Feel this inward smile all over,
Filling you up.
Breathe gently and again accept this moment for all moments have their beauty.
Life is but a string of moments and the only one you will ever have is the one you are in.
Each moment you accept culminates in its effect on you and the quality of your life.
Breathe and feel gratitude for choosing to begin your day by accepting this moment.
Continue to breathe gently and thank your body for the reparations that underwent last night for taking care of you.
If you feel achy or pain,
Thank you for letting you know which parts need healing and attention.
Thank any areas of your body that you feel discomfort or that you feel anxious about.
Breathe into those spaces and forgive them since your body is doing the best it can with what it was given you.
If you do not feel any discomfort,
Simply enjoy the feeling of the inner body as you gently breathe.
Forgive yourself for anything you have done to ignore or to add to the pain and discomfort your body is experiencing.
If you feel you cannot forgive yourself,
Set the intention that you want to and let that be okay for now.
Now,
Think of something in your life that you're grateful for.
Think of one thing you are grateful for on an inhale and attempt to truly feel a sense of gratitude as you do.
Smile from the heart.
Feel the inner smile filling you up.
If you are still lying down,
Gently roll over to one side and as you continue to breathe,
Push up with your arms,
Letting your head hang heavy until you are sitting up.
Gently raise your head and make movements and gentle stretches that your body wants you to make.
Do this as you continue to listen.
The relaxation and fostering of positive feeling that you experienced this morning will literally release happy chemicals into your body that affect your body now.
The repetition of this exercise and others will both affect your body on the days you do them,
As well as the future,
Since they will be fostering new pathways into your brain and habits of being.
Thank yourself for the positive effect your body is already enjoying.
