Welcome to this gentle meditation on inviting your breath to flow in and fill you with the beauty and wonder of life.
Make yourself comfortable,
Lie down or sit in a supportive chair and make sure you are warm and won't be disturbed.
Allow the thoughts of your day to drift slowly by,
Close your eyes and start to gently breathe.
Taking a long deep breath,
Hold it for a moment then release it slowly and let it go.
Take in one more breath,
Hold it for a moment then let it go with a long deep sigh.
Repeat one more time as you feel that gentle breath fill you up.
Hold it for just a moment then slowly let it go.
We breathe in,
We breathe out and are set to take 12 to 20 breaths every single minute.
We usually do this unconsciously and only notice our breathing if we are ill or stressed but our breath carries our life force for without it we would not survive.
It brings precious oxygen to our cells and removes substances that our body no longer needs.
So take some time to tune in to this precious gift that has been given to all of us.
Breathe in,
Breathe out and relax with the slow movements of your chest.
Feel your lungs fill up with this life source then feel them empty again.
Breathe in,
Breathe out and gently rest.
As you breathe in,
Imagine a beautiful golden ball of light filling you up with every breath you take.
Breathe in and feel this light enter you.
This light contains energy.
It is a healing light of love from Source,
From God,
The Universe or whatever belief you may hold.
Breathe in and feel this golden light fill up every single cell.
Breathe out and let go of what no longer fills you with joy.
Breathe in and feel this light spread from your head all the way down to your toes.
Breathe out all thoughts that are not yours to hold on to.
Slowly let them go.
If your mind becomes distracted,
Bring your thoughts back to your breath and feel its warmth surround you one more time.
Breathe in,
Breathe out and start to unwind.
As your breath fills every part of your body,
It loosens tension and anxiety.
It softens your focus and caresses every single heartbeat.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Hold yourself in this golden light and feel its love and warmth envelop you.
Breathe in deeply to bring your mind home to your body.
Breathing in,
I calm body and mind.
Breathing out,
I smile.
