Worth means to be important, or of value. It means that something is highly regarded, or admired, or appreciated. As children many of us learn to value ourselves according to our achievements. We receive praise when we are good, or gain high grades, or achieve some sort of sporting prowess. It isn’t enough to just be ourselves.
