Welcome.
I invite you to join me on this sleep meditation.
Find a place that's comfortable.
Give yourself the permission to allow yourself to slow down,
To relax.
This is your time to rest,
A moment to let go of the day and ease into a peaceful night's sleep.
Let's take a deep breath in and slowly exhale.
And as you continue to focus on your breathing,
I just want you to feel the weight of the day begin to soften and melt away.
With each breath,
Just breathing out any tension that you feel in your body.
Let your body know that it's safe to relax now.
Right now,
You're just here,
There's nothing else you need to be doing apart from just being you,
Taking this moment,
Relaxing,
Refreshing so that you can show up the very best tomorrow.
And so I invite you to slowly start bringing your focus to your body.
Let's start at the top of your head and just notice any sensations.
Really focus and bring your awareness to the space between your eyebrows,
Allowing it to just soften,
Allowing your forehead to just relax,
Allowing your jaw to slowly unclench,
Allow your tongue to rest softly in your mouth and let that gentle wave move down through your neck and shoulders.
If you've been holding tension here,
Imagine it dissolving with every exhale,
Allowing your shoulders to drop,
Your arms to grow heavy,
Your hands to rest softly and with each breath,
The relaxation deepens,
It flows through your chest,
Down your spine,
Into your stomach,
Just feeling your breath slow and steady,
Rising and falling like a gentle ocean wave.
Now feel that wave of calm spreading through your hips,
Down your legs,
Into your knees,
Your calves,
And finally into your feet,
Every part continuing to soften with each breath.
And as you're here,
Just being,
Just existing,
Just releasing,
As anything else pops up,
Any thoughts,
Just simply notice them,
Notice it's just you,
Trying to get you some attention,
So just notice it and allow them to float away,
There's nothing you need to do,
Nowhere you need to be,
Just here,
Resting.
Now I invite you to take in another deep breath and as you exhale,
Imagine releasing everything that doesn't belong in this moment,
Any stress,
Any worries,
Any leftover energy from the day,
And as you rest here,
Your mind slows,
Your body starting to feel heavy and supported,
Your breath becomes soft,
And with each breath,
You drift deeper and deeper into comfort,
Deeper and deeper into peace,
And deeper and deeper into sleep,
Your body knows what to do,
It knows how to heal,
How to reset,
How to dream,
Let go completely,
You are safe,
You are calm,
You are at peace,
And with one final breath,
I invite you to sleep well and have a good night.
