Hello and welcome to a Joneson for breathwork and meditation.
Thank you so much for being here today and I truly hope that today's meditation and breathwork helps you have an incredible day.
So let's get into it.
Find a position that is comfortable for you,
Whether that's laying down or seated,
Whatever works.
Find a place that's comfortable,
Close your eyes,
And then start to breathe.
Breathe in through your nose and out through your nose or mouth,
Your choice.
Try to make each breath nice and deep,
Filling your abdomen first with air and then up to your chest and shoulders,
And then reverse that breath as you exhale.
Today we're going to start with a wave breath.
For wave breathing,
Put one hand on your stomach and one hand on your chest.
And as you breathe in,
Lift the hand on your abdomen by filling up your abdomen with air and then your chest,
Almost creating a wave.
And then hold for a brief second and then exhale,
Letting your abdomen come down first and then your chest.
So as you breathe in,
Your stomach should go up first and then your chest.
Then as you exhale,
Your stomach goes down and then your chest collapses a little.
Do this breath three times.
It should feel like a wave.
Return to breathing normally,
Keeping your eyes closed and a nice low breath.
Now shift your mind to focus on something positive in your day,
Something positive that either happened this morning or something you are looking forward to.
Let it be on something positive.
Let that moment,
That feeling,
Take over your body,
Fill your body with warmth and love and breathe.
As you breathe,
You breathe in that energy,
That positive energy and as you exhale,
It fills your body going all the way down to your fingertips,
To your toes,
Filling your body with this positive energy.
A smile can creep on your face and that is okay.
You're letting the joy of that thought,
That moment,
That emotion take over your body and that is a wonderful thing.
Other thoughts might come into your mind,
Good thoughts,
Bad thoughts,
Negative thoughts and positive thoughts.
Focus on that one positive thought and acknowledge the others but then dismiss them off to the side and come back to that positive thought you have.
Excellent.
Now shift your mind to a gratitude of the day.
What are you grateful for today?
There might be many things and they could be big or they could be really small.
All is okay and all are good.
Pick one of the things you are grateful for and now breathe into that.
Focus your mind on that gratitude.
As you breathe in,
Breathe in the energy,
That positive energy of that gratitude and as you exhale,
Let that peace,
Thankfulness,
That warmth take over your body and just melt all over you.
Excellent work.
Bring your mind's focus back to the breath,
Breathing in and out.
What sensations do you feel as you breathe in and as you exhale?
And then as you are ready,
Start to wiggle your toes and fingers bringing your body back to life and then open your eyes.
