Hello,
And welcome to a Joneson IV breathwork and meditation.
Today we are going to focus on forgiveness.
So find a place that is comfortable for you,
Whether that's sitting down or laying down,
And be in a comfortable position,
And then close your eyes.
Remember to breathe in through your nose,
And out through your nose or mouth,
Your choice.
Just a nice,
Gentle breath,
Filling up your lungs with your life giving oxygen,
Nice and deep,
And then let it go.
Bring your mind's focus to your breath.
What does it feel like entering your body?
How do your lungs feel as the air fills it up?
What does your body feel?
What are the sensations as you exhale?
Focus on one of them with your mind,
And see if that sensation strengthens or lessens or stays the same.
Other thoughts might try to come into your mind.
Know that that's okay.
Acknowledge them,
But then dismiss them,
And come back to your breath.
Now as you breathe,
Turn your mind to yourself.
Turn it inward,
Looking on you as if from an outside perspective,
From outside your body,
And not seeing the physical body,
But your mental one,
Your emotional body.
Look at the positive light,
The amazing energy emanating from you,
But within that energy,
There's dark spots,
There's negativity,
There's issues that we have had,
Problems we have made,
We have caused,
Situations that we regret.
Let's try to heal some of those right now.
Take one of those moments,
One of those dark spots,
And focus on it.
Try not to judge yourself.
Try not to judge others.
Just be open.
That experience that you had,
It's a chance for you to learn and grow.
Maybe you made a mistake,
And it's okay.
We are all human.
We all make mistakes.
We wouldn't be human if we didn't make mistakes.
That's what allows us to learn and grow and be better.
To recognize the fact that you are human,
That mistakes do happen,
And those dark spots are there.
They don't always have to be there.
They can be filled with light by forgiving yourself.
Now with each breath,
Let that hardship go.
As you inhale,
Feel that strength,
That warmth,
That positive energy fill your body.
As you exhale,
Let it push and slowly melt away those dark spots,
That negative energy,
That moment of pain.
You're not just shoving it out.
You're resolving that issue.
You're letting it melt away without any need to come back.
Breathe through that pain.
Forgive yourself.
You deserve to live your life to the max.
You deserve to live your best life,
And you can't do that if you have these anchors holding you back.
You have to let go of the chains,
Let go of that rope,
And forgive yourself.
Does it take time?
Yes.
Does it take effort?
Yes.
Is it worth it?
One hundred percent.
So breathe and forget.
Breathe.
Bring your mind's focus back to the breath,
Noticing the sensation as you inhale and exhale.
We are going to finish today's meditation with some square breathing.
We're going to breathe in for four counts,
Hold for four counts,
Exhale for four counts,
And then hold for four counts.
We will do this three times.
So here you go.
Exhale everything you have.
Inhale.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Now hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale.
Three,
Four,
And hold,
Two,
Three.
Again inhale.
Three,
Four,
And hold,
Two,
Three.
Exhale through your nose and mouth.
Go one,
And now hold.
Hold it.
Inhale.
Hold.
Exhale.
Hold.
And return to your normal breath.
Wiggle your toes and fingers,
Bringing your body back to life.
Then open your eyes.
