Hey,
Hello dear one.
You are welcome here.
Perhaps you have something going on with your body,
Mind,
A medical diagnosis,
Illness,
Injury or are debilitated in some way.
You may be experiencing pain,
Anxiety and worry,
A loss of confidence,
Grief,
Isolation or feeling like a burden.
It often feels like this is forever and it may be so for you.
But the thing we've really got power over is how we are with this.
It is possible to hold all this from a broader perspective.
There is an essential essence of who you really are that can truly hold and be with all of this.
Let's get into it.
So settling in,
Doing whatever you need,
Perhaps a wriggle,
A shake before getting yourself as comfortable as possible.
Is there anything that you need?
Some cushions,
Laying down if easier or a seated meditation position.
Take some time tending to and supporting yourself as best you can.
We begin with the breath.
Let's take a nice,
Long,
Slow,
Deep inhale.
Pausing at the top and a sighing release.
All the way out.
Open mouth to the end.
Pause before your next long,
Full inhale.
And release fully.
Now just start to find your natural breath rhythm.
Noticing whatever is the most easeful,
Most relaxing and joyful breath that you can find.
Finding joy may not be easy at the moment,
But let's visualize it as light.
Sense,
Visualize or imagine an infinite source of light all around you.
A benevolent,
Loving energy.
Continue breathing your easeful,
Rhythmic breath.
And begin to breathe that loving light into your body.
Into your heart,
Igniting your heart space and then sending that down into your body.
Bringing more and more light in with each inhale.
More of your higher self,
Synergizing into every cell.
And into your mind and emotions.
Perhaps inviting the other parts we mentioned earlier,
If they are willing to relax back a little.
Create some space for a bit more of this calm,
Spacious energy to be breathed into the body.
More and more of your essence.
Can you feel it?
Pause for a moment and notice how you're feeling with this.
Perhaps there's a little bit more space here,
Some aliveness.
You may notice it as a calm or spaciousness or light.
Or just more grounded and present in the body.
Just noticing what's happening for you.
And then we're going to get curious to where you are feeling this pain or worry or ailment.
Whatever it is that you're experiencing that's brought you here today.
Scan through your body to see where you notice it.
And we're going to ask this target area,
Let's call it.
Whether it's pain or grief or fear or anxiety.
Or beliefs that you're holding.
Let's see if we can hold this area from the light,
From this space.
From this spaciousness,
From this calm presence.
Can you just be with it?
If it's become too big to hold space for it,
You could ask it if it's willing to turn the volume down a little.
Just one or two notches.
So there's enough room to be able to hold this,
This sadness,
Grief,
Pain or worry.
Whatever it is you're presenting with.
If there are too many things going on at once,
See if they are willing to separate.
So you can just be with the one target part for now.
You can come back to those other parts next time.
Now just be with it.
And let it feel your loving presence.
Can you find a way to let it know that you are here with it?
See how it responds to your presence.
To you being here.
You could ask it what it needs you to know about itself.
Just listen.
Allow it to tell you about how sad it is,
Or how sore it is,
Or how worried it is.
Let it know that you are here.
When you have finished listening to this part and being with it,
You could ask it what it needs.
And would it like you to come back sometime and be with it more?
If so,
You can do that.
You can check in with it anytime.
Or you can repeat this meditation whenever you wish.
With this part or any of the other parts you notice.
Now let's finish with some more gentle breathing.
Inviting in even more light.
Soften.
Allow.
Sending more light to the part and any other parts.
And throughout the whole body.
And just notice the effects of this.
Do you feel a little calmer?
A little more spacious?
Hopeful even.
If so,
You may be able to see yourself well.
Can you visualize yourself in full health?
Or perhaps see a successful and supported medical procedure.
Or whatever it is that you would like to visualize.
Or you could at least see yourself as coping well with your situation.
Accepting what cannot be changed.
With love,
Ease and grace.
See yourself at peace.
And feel that peace right now.
And then send this peace,
This joy,
This light.
Up to the corners of your mouth.
And just see if there's some space for that to grow into a little smile.
Have a breath here.
Breathe in more light.
This is a moment of peace.
This is your essence.
This is who you are.
And knowing this,
You can hold yourself and your parts well from here.
Sending much,
Much love to you.
And I hope to see you again soon for another meditation.
