This meditation is designed to lead you to the inevitable conclusion that consciousness/awareness is the constant you can rely on amidst all the changes. When the sounds become redundant there is only silence, When the forms become redundant there is only space, when the thoughts become redundant there is only you, the consciousness. Relax and enjoy this healing journey.

And closing our eyes,

Just remembering there is no more comfortable place in the universe than self.

If you like,

Putting your hands,

One hand,

Right hand into the opposite armpit,

Left hand into the opposite right armpit,

Adadhi Rasana,

Which then balances the flow of the breath,

Left and right.

Bring it in to the middle.

So let's just feel the breath,

Feeling the coolness through the nostrils and at the same time,

Feeling the body resting on the earth,

Resting on,

Feel the earth beneath you,

Permanent,

Constant.

We focus on the breath,

We don't have to focus on consciousness,

Already present,

Being conscious already,

To be present.

We don't have to do anything,

Go anywhere,

Let anything go,

No add anything.

Nothing gets added to the dancer,

The dance,

Just feeling the breath in the back of the throat,

Feel its coolness in the back of the throat.

The moment you focus your awareness there,

Harnessing the breath in the mind,

The mind to the breath,

You can feel the coolness in the back of the throat,

Not interfering with the breath,

Letting it come and go,

Or the breath comes and goes,

Consciousness,

Neither comes nor goes anywhere,

Ever present,

Ever the same,

The only constant,

Ever changing,

Moving universe,

Consciousness,

Yourself,

Always present,

You cannot escape,

Being conscious is effortless.

Now just feeling the breath in the lungs,

Feel the coolness now in the lungs,

Feel the earth underneath you,

Supporting you,

Unconditionally,

Earth's gravity embraces you,

Drawing you into itself,

Like a mother embracing her child,

Earth's gravity continuously embraces you,

Unconditionally,

Effortlessly,

But we take the earth's gravity and the earth for granted,

We take our own presence for granted,

Losing ourselves,

All sorts of ideas,

Thoughts,

Identification,

The one shining on all our thoughts,

All our identifications,

Taken for granted,

Self,

The consciousness,

Awareness itself,

Always there,

There is no time when it is not,

Coming back to the nostrils,

Just feel the breath in the nostrils again,

Feel the coolness again in the nostrils,

Let go the need to do,

To hang on to anything,

Let go the need to undo,

Let go anything,

Feel how effortless it is,

Just being yourself,

Doesn't require a thing,

Now just listen to the sounds around you,

Any sound around you,

To remind you of the soundless silence,

Listening to the sounds,

No sounds,

Continuous,

Getting lost in the sound,

We forget about the silence,

Hearing sounds,

Come and go,

Silence,

Neither comes nor goes,

Anywhere,

Always here,

Now,

Present,

Silence,

Never changes,

Continuous,

Silence alone,

Continuous,

No matter how many sounds appear in silence,

Hearing for some time to drown silence,

Silence remains unaffected,

Always present,

Regardless of the loudness of the sound,

The length of the sound,

Silence doesn't mind,

Accommodating all the sounds,

Become like the silence,

Accommodating everything,

All thoughts,

Identifications,

All sounds,

Flowing into silence,

There is no difference between silence,

Space,

Consciousness,

Like all the rivers flow into one ocean,

And the ocean remains undisturbed,

No matter how many rivers are flowing into it,

So too,

You remain undisturbed,

No matter how many tributaries,

Thoughts,

Tributaries of thoughts,

Flowing,

Flowing to consciousness,

Not affected by any of them,

Consciousness,

Like the silence,

Is continuous,

Permanent,

Undisturbed,

By anything happening in it,

No thought can last forever,

Just like a sound,

No sound can last forever,

Exactly the same way,

No thought,

No object,

Can ever last,

Beginning in time,

Existing for some time,

All the forms eventually have to disappear,

Back into the womb of silence,

Space,

From which they came,

No sound,

No thought,

Can ever overwhelm consciousness,

Silence,

Or space,

If the form itself does not exist,

Then what to talk of the thought of the form,

If the thought,

The form,

Beginning in time,

Existing for some time,

Ends,

Then how long can the thought or memory last,

All that lasts is the perceiver of the thought,

The seer of consciousness,

Having no beginning time,

Having never been born,

Consciousness never ends,

Like the silence,

All the sounds appearing in it,

Come and go,

Ending in silence,

Silence alone,

Continuous,

Timeless,

Ageless,

Beginningless,

Endless,

Just the same way,

Space,

Having no beginning,

Never ends,

Everything having a beginning,

Begins and ends in space,

Consciousness,

You cannot know the timeless,

While still subject to time,

Place,

Objectivity,

Seeing,

Touching,

Tasting,

Smelling,

Hearing,

Getting lost in all the sensations,

Is nothing but the timeless,

Until it remembers itself,

Consciousness,

Self,

Ever one,

Seeing,

Tasting,

Touching,

Smelling,

Hearing through everything,

If you have to name that consciousness,

Existing,

Perceiving,

Thinking,

Feeling,

In and through everything,

Name it self,

Atma,

That same consciousness,

Appearing as,

Formless,

All form,

Appearing as matter,

If you have to name that,

Naming all name and form,

You name it Ishvara,

God,

Name for the nameless,

But what about the formless consciousness,

Which accommodates all form,

Dimensionless,

Attributeless,

Smaller than the smallest,

Bigger than the biggest,

What do you name that,

Which accommodates all form,

Including everything,

Space,

All dimensions,

Appearing in it,

What can you name that,

If you have to name it,

You name it Brahman,

The bigness itself,

Biggest of the big,

In which everything,

All dimensions are accommodated,

Subtler than all the sounds,

Appearing in the silence,

Is the silence,

Subtler than all the forms,

Appearing in space,

Is the space,

Subtler than all the sounds,

Silence and space,

Is the enjoyer,

The perceiver of both silence and space,

Yourself,

Subtler than the subtlest,

I is no different from atma,

Brahman,

The nameless,

Naming everything,

Consciousness,

The named and the namer,

Naming everything,

How do you name that,

Be the nameless,

It's a nameless universe,

Be that consciousness,

Just naming everything,

Named in everything,

Changeless,

Amongst all that is constantly changing,

Timeless,

Endless,

Limitless,

Appearing limited for some time,

The limitless is dragging the limitation onto itself,

At no time are we ever limited,

Only appearing to be,

The limitations cannot last,

Still,

Constant,

The only constant,

The only thing permanent is yourself,

The consciousness,

The awareness itself,

Which has never been absent,

Never the same,

One universal consciousness,

Coming back to the breath,

Just feel the breath moving through the nostrils again,

Nothing's changed,

In the changeless,

Relative everything keeps on changing,

Spontaneously,

Creation is keep going on,

But the enjoyer,

The one seeing,

Perceiving,

Never changes,

Be the changeless,

Enjoy all the changes.
