My name's John Vinson,

And this is a simple NLP technique that you can use.

Double take.

Seconds to do,

Much longer for me to explain to you.

Hopefully will use this technique to change the way you think about things,

Change the way you feel about things and ultimately have a better or wonderful experience.

I've recorded some other videos.

Feel free to watch those if you enjoy this one.

That focus on an internal dialogue.

That focus on an emotion and changing the emotion.

This video.

It's focusing on the visual aspect of your thinking.

The stuff from your mind's eye.

And this will be really clear and well-defined.

For you in certain things and not so much in others.

And for some people,

Really clear.

Visual artists.

Videographers,

Super clear mental imagery.

Orators,

Musicians.

More about the audio.

And less about the images.

Certain goals are clear and crystal clear.

Other things are a little bit more fuzzy.

Miss Thoughts.

Sometimes.

You have that worst case scenario.

That impending unpleasantness.

Sometimes you have a dark thought.

Sometimes you have a scary thought.

In your mind.

It's time to change that.

Unless having that scary,

Unpleasant dark thought.

Is serving you,

Benefiting you in some way,

Or you're enjoying it.

Otherwise,

Let's change it.

And again,

Like the other techniques I've been sharing,

It starts by not trying to get away from the unpleasantness,

But just noticing the structure of the thinking.

We all aim to change the structure of the thinking.

Rather than the story,

The content.

What this impending doom is,

Of what this worry is,

Of how you're visually representing,

How you're seeing this scary thought or this anxious,

Worrying,

Nagging thought.

And we'll change the structure of it,

Not the story.

Very quickly.

Just erase it,

Really.

So if you.

.

Have a little thought.

We'll try it here in this short little video.

By bringing it to mind.

And noticing how it makes you feel.

And then maybe internal dialogue with a voice tone or something.

Sounds that go with it.

Maybe it's a memory.

Because you can use this for traumatic memories and experiences that you want to let go of and release,

Along with the other techniques.

Letting go of the feeling and the changing of the internal dialogue.

And sometimes you have a thought that's in your mind that you can't shake.

Scary,

Unpleasant,

Nasty thought that you can't Well let's shake it.

Let's get rid of it.

So if you bring to mind a scary.

.

.

Thought.

Causes unpleasantness in your body.

Just for the purposes of this,

Let's bring to mind something that isn't too traumatic.

As just an experiment here at the beginning.

Just a simple thing.

And if it's safe and appropriate for you to be able to close your eyes and just think of that thought momentarily.

And then make it go bright white.

Try it wide that quick.

And open your eyes.

Close your eyes again.

Try and think of that thought,

That scary picture.

Make it go bright white.

And open your eyes.

Then close your eyes,

Try and see that scary image and make it go bright white.

And open your eyes.

Close your eyes again,

Try and see that anything that remains of that scary thought and make it go bright white.

Open your eyes.

Close them one more time.

Try and pick up any of that old scary thought.

Make it go bright white.

Open your eyes.

If you need to do it one more time,

Two more times,

If you were done one time ago,

Fantastic.

Do it one more time if you need to.

Close your eyes.

Try and get any of that thought.

Make it go bright white.

And it's time to put something much better in there instead.

What do you want?

Instead,

What is it that you actually want?

Phrased in the positive,

What do you want?

Picture that big bright bold and vivid instead and have a good feeling with that.

Feel good about a new thing,

A thought that you'd rather think about.

It's time to focus on something else instead.

What is it?

How would you be in that situation?

How amazing will that make you feel?

So much better thoughts I have.

You become what you think about.

Think about what you want to be.

Don't think about the unpleasant thing.

Try as hard as you can right now to bring up that old thing instead.

Make it go white.

And put in a much better picture.

Take a moment.

To define a new picture,

A new you in that instance,

A new self-image in that instance,

A new set of behaviors and activities in that instance.

And you want to be different.

You want to be focused on doing something different instead.

How is that?

What's that like?

Be it bright,

Bold and vivid.

How amazing will that feel?

Just be getting on with life.

Getting fitter,

Healthier.

Happier.

More able,

Having more fun,

Whatever it is that you'd rather focus on writing a book.

Playing a game,

Tennis.

Sign a business,

Whatever it is,

Laughing more.

Spending more time cooking.

Whatever you want to focus on instead,

Put that in your head.

Will it magically make this problem of whatever it is disappear?

A money worry?

A money worry problem?

No,

Of course it won't make it disappear.

Will it give you a different feeling in the body,

Get more head space?

To have clarity of thought.

To start thinking about what you can do.

To move forward to where you want to be?

Yes.

Gain control over the way you think by changing the way you think.

Not the story,

The content,

But the way,

The structure.

And it changes the way you feel,

Which changes the neurochemistry,

Which allows you to think differently,

Move forward differently,

And have a fantastic day.

Do this simple whiteout technique from the toolkit of neuro-linguistic programming.

Again,

When this video finishes,

It takes just a moment to close your eyes,

See a scary thought,

And make it go bright white.

Open them,

Close,

Five,

Six times in a row.

Do it with two more things.

And spend one or two minutes a day again today or tomorrow for the next seven days,

One or two minutes a day.

You're raising unpleasant thoughts and replacing them with calm,

Wonderful,

Happy,

Composed thoughts.

States of mind.

So that you can move through life and have a better life and affect those around you.

Have a better life.
