Today we're going to be focusing on being present wherever you are right now.
This is a little five-minute meditation focusing on the inner life of your body.
So it doesn't matter where you are,
Whether you're seated for formal practice,
Or you're traveling to work,
Or at work,
With family,
Or by yourself,
Or in nature.
Just allow yourself,
As best you can,
To be fully where you are right now.
You deserve this five minutes to yourself.
And just noticing everything that's around you,
Without labeling it,
Just take in what's around you,
Sights,
Sounds,
Smells,
And let them just be here with you.
Just be aware of what is around you right now.
And if you want to close your eyes,
Or you're in a place that you can close your eyes,
You can,
But it's not important in any way.
And you don't need to make any meditation shapes with your hands.
Just settling into noticing what's around you.
And this helps you gather in awareness.
And taking a conscious breath,
And then just noticing the natural movement of breath in your body.
Feeling your feet on the floor,
Feeling your clothes against your skin,
And the physical presence of your body.
And simply feeling the feeling of life in your body,
As best you can.
Perhaps all over your body,
Perhaps completely within your body,
Perhaps in one hand or one foot,
Or in your face,
Or the area over your heart.
Just feeling the life of your body.
Not conceptualizing it with the mind,
But just the life in the body.
Noticing how your body enjoys this.
This shift to beingness is a choice that we all have,
And is made through awareness rather than thought.
Just being in the awareness of the life in the body.
And perhaps you can feel the feeling of space in and around the feeling of life in you.
And perhaps you can notice that same space in the things outside of you,
In the sounds,
In what you can see.
In a few seconds I will ring the bell,
And this meditation will end.
But you can just continue in awareness,
In presence,
Unfolding beautifully moment by moment in your day.
