Embrace the transformative power of Scorpio in this Shadow Work Meditation. In this meditation, you will connect with your shadow self to acknowledge, feel, and heal any old wounds your shadow self still carries and needs addressed in order for you to integrate and evolve. While originally recorded just for Scorpio Season - a great time for Shadow Work - this meditation can be practiced any time you feel shadow work is necessary.

Welcome to the Scorpio season shadow work meditation.

Find a comfortable seated or reclined position.

As you settle into that position,

Make any and all adjustments you need to become as comfortable as possible once you have found that perfect position.

And you're ready.

Simply allow your eyes to soften close.

Now become aware of your breath.

Notice the inflow and outflow of your breath.

Keeping that awareness on your breath,

We'll begin to deepen.

Take a moment to exhale all of your air.

Now inhale 2,

3,

4,

5.

Exhale 2,

3.

Inhale for 5 or so seconds.

Exhale for 5 or so seconds.

And just continuing with this pace of breath more or less,

Inhaling deeply,

Exhaling fully.

And continuing with that breath,

Imagine finding yourself out in nature in the night,

Surrounded by lush trees overhead,

A night sky glittering with stars and a full moon.

Nearby a stream flowing gently.

While it is dark,

The moon and the stars provide enough light for you to see and feel safe.

Now imagine that you walk over to the stream flowing nearby and sitting on the banks of the stream is your shadow self.

Perhaps your shadow self is a child version of you,

Or a younger version of you,

Or a version of you that is wounded,

Crying,

Cold.

Allow this image of your shadow self to come into full view.

Imagine that you take a seat beside your shadow self.

Make contact with your shadow self.

Perhaps you hold your shadow self's hands,

Or place one hand on their shoulder,

Or hold them in an embrace.

And now say to your shadow self,

You are seen.

You,

You sympathized with.

You,

You.

And just imagine your shadow self receiving these words of affirmation.

And just allow any emotions that come up from these words and this exchange to simply be,

And then pass as they will in time.

And you can remain here in this visualization for as long as you like.

When you are ready to exit,

Simply embrace your shadow self once again.

And then take a deep breath in,

And on a deep breath out,

Allow the image of your shadow self and the forest in the night to fade.

Ground yourself by feeling back into your physical body.

Feeling the seat or the bed underneath you.

Feeling the air on your skin,

And the breath in your lungs.

And as you're ready,

You can allow your eyes to reopen as you return back into your space.
