Welcome to the Release Negative Energy,

Receive Positive Energy meditation.

My name is Johnny and I am honored to be your guide today.

Find a comfortable seated or reclined position.

As you feel ready,

Allow your eyes to soften close.

Give your body total permission to soften,

Melt,

And relax deeper into your seated or reclined position.

Now begin to deepen and lengthen your breath.

Inhale for 2,

3,

4.

Exhale for 2,

3,

4.

Inhale 2,

4.

Exhale 2,

3,

4.

Inhale for about 4,

Deeply and richly.

Exhale for about 4,

Fluidly and smoothly.

And continuing with your breath,

We will center our meditation on releasing negative energy and receiving positive energy.

First,

Let's ask the question,

What is energy?

Some view energy as a force that grants a living being or a built system the power to operate and function.

Some view energy as a vibration that can be sensed as coming from people,

Animals,

Plants,

Other objects,

And even the air of a particular location or event.

Some also view energy as including our thoughts,

Feelings,

And emotions.

The truth is that all of these definitions of energy are true in some way,

Shape,

Or form.

When it comes to us humans,

We have physical energy that allows our bodies to move and function.

Mental energy that allows us to think and process.

And we have emotional energy that allows us to feel and sense.

Negative energy can include bodily illness and dysfunction,

Cynical and dark thoughts,

Harsh and disempowering inner dialogue about self,

Others,

And the world,

And emotions like fear and anxiety.

Positive energy can include bodily wellness and function,

Clear and optimistic thoughts,

Affirming and empowering inner dialogue about self,

Others,

And the world,

And emotions like joy,

Gratitude,

And hope.

As humans,

We all experience both negative and positive energy to varying degrees.

And there are times where we need to sit in the experience of negative energy as it can be informative to our growth and our time here.

But from time to time,

It can be impactful to clear out the negative energy we are ready to be freed from and call in the positive energy we are all worthy of enjoying.

Now with this understanding of energy,

We will practice mindful reflection.

Take a moment to consider what does negative energy mean for you today?

Is there anything physically,

Mentally,

Emotionally,

Or environmentally that you would consider negative energy you are experiencing?

Staying in this mindful reflection,

Take another moment to consider what does positive energy mean for you today?

Is there anything physically,

Mentally,

Emotionally,

Or environmentally that you would consider positive energy that you would like to create,

Or that you are already experiencing and would like to amplify more of for yourself?

With this heightened awareness,

We can address and release negative energy and make space to invite in and cultivate positive energy.

Begin to imagine negative energy as a dark gray smoke.

Next,

Imagine positive energy as a beautifully colored mist.

It can be your favorite color or a color you associate with positivity.

Now,

Take a deep inhale.

Then,

Take a deep exhale and imagine your exhale as dark gray smoke leaving your body and disappearing.

Take a deep inhale and imagine drinking in the beautiful colored mist and allowing it to flow throughout your body,

Mind,

And heart.

As you exhale,

You release the dark gray smoke of negative energy.

And as you inhale,

You receive the colored mist of positive energy.

Just remain here with this visualization,

Imagining seeing your release of negative energy,

The dark gray smoke,

And receipt of positive energy,

The beautiful colored mist.

As you do,

Begin to feel a sense of relief,

Ease,

And peace wash over you.

Continuing here for a little while,

As you continue,

I will mind the time now.

After your next exhale,

Release the visualization and know that throughout this practice,

You have begun the process of releasing the negative energy that was not serving you.

And you have begun the process of calling in more of the positive energy that you are worthy of.

Of course,

This meditation is not a cure-all for releasing negative energy and creating positive energy.

Further awareness and care may be required.

You have begun the process and you can now follow up on this work with your thoughts,

Words,

And actions as you move forward throughout the rest of this day and week.

Now,

Let's take one last inhale and exhale.

As you feel ready,

You may open your eyes as you return back into your space.
