Good morning.
I'm really glad you're here.
Before the day gets busy.
Before you check your messages.
Before your mind starts running through everything you need to do.
Let's just spend a few quiet minutes together.
Take a slow,
Comfortable breath in.
And gently breathe out.
Notice the support beneath you.
The bed,
The chair.
The floor beneath your feet.
You've already done the hardest part.
You've arrived.
Maybe you're waking up feeling hopeful.
Or maybe you're waking up with that familiar heaviness that seems to arrive before your feet even touch the floor.
Perhaps today feels uncertain?
Perhaps you're already worrying about something waiting for you.
Or perhaps you're simply tired.
Whatever this morning feels like.
You don't have to pretend,
It's anything else.
Let's just begin here.
Take another easy breath.
Mourning has a funny way of making everything feel urgent.
The to-do list,
The responsibilities.
Conversations you're replaying.
The decisions waiting to be made.
But none of those things need your full attention during these next few minutes.
Right now there's only one thing to do.
Slowly comfortably.
And let yourself arrive in this new day one moment at a time.
I wonder if you've been carrying a lot lately.
Trying to stay strong.
Trying to keep up.
Trying to be everything everyone needs you to be.
If so,
I hope you'll remember something this morning.
You don't have to be perfect to make today a good day.
You don't have to feel confident before taking the next step.
You don't have to have everything figured out before moving forward.
Most people are simply doing the best they can with what today asks of them.
That includes you.
Take another slow breath.
Maybe today won't be extraordinary.
Maybe it will simply be ordinary.
A few conversations.
A few cups of coffee.
A war.
Some more.
Some rest.
A few unexpected moments.
And that's enough.
Life isn't built only from big breakthroughs.
It's built from ordinary mornings like this one.
One breath.
One choice.
One kind moment at a time.
As you begin your day,
I hope you'll speak to yourself the way you would speak to someone you care about.
With patience.
With encouragement.
With understanding.
Because you'll spend more time with yourself today than anyone else will.
You deserve a kind companion in your own mind.
Take one more slow breath in.
And let it go gently.
Before we finish,
I'd like to leave you with a few simple reminders.
You don't have to rush.
You don't have to prove yourself today.
You don't have to earn your worth through productivity.
Simply showing up for this new day is enough.
Whatever today brings.
I hope you meet it with curiosity more than pressure.
With compassion more than criticism.
And with the quiet confidence that you can take one step forward.
Than another.
Thank you for letting me be part of your morning.
I hope this day surprises you in good ways.
Kind conversation.
Peaceful moment.
A reason to smile.
Or simply the feeling that you're stronger than you remembered.
Take one final deep breath in.
And slowly breathe out.
If this practice resonated with you today,
You might also find support in my 10-day course Understanding Loneliness.
Together we'll explore why loneliness affects us so deeply.
How it shapes the way we think,
Feel and connect.
And gentle ways to begin reconnecting with yourself.
With others and with life.
Take good care of yourself.
