Path Of The Departed Souls

In the lore of some Native American tribes, the pattern of stars we call the "Milky Way" was thought to be a trail taken by departed souls, on their journey to the next life. This song was improvised and recorded "live" on location inside the Mt. Wilson Observatory, using only the natural acoustics of the telescope dome. I'm playing a Native American flute in the traditional key of F# minor, whose voice I felt was well-suited to describing the mystery of a journey among the stars.
