A Celtic-style soothing flute melody, over a gentle B-minor piano foundation. This tune was inspired by my last in-person visit with my Mom, flying to New York during the Covid pandemic when traveling was difficult. She was already suffering from dementia, a series of strokes, and other illnesses, but still living at home, alone. She was angry, depressed, and confused, but she always enjoyed hearing me play the flute - Irish music especially was her favorite. Before I left that day, she mentioned that her one regret was that she had never visited Ireland, and she imagined me standing on the moors, playing Danny Boy for her. At that moment I understood her unspoken request. All of the Irish flutes and whistles, plus the bird songs, were improvised and recorded "live" in the studio.
