Forgiving yourself is one of the most powerful practices that you can do. This simple meditation guides you to a place in which you are able to feel what you feel and then forgive yourself. This is an excellent meditation to do when you feel angry, resentful or anxious.

Welcome.

Take a moment to arrive.

Take a few deep breaths and then close your eyes.

However you feel right now,

You are welcome.

Take a moment to be grateful for having given yourself permission to be here.

Now,

Direct your attention to your body.

How does your body feel?

What is present in your body?

Whatever you feel,

Whatever is present,

Give it some space.

Breathe into your body.

Now,

Direct your attention to your breathing.

Where do you feel your breathing the most?

Take a moment to just notice your breathing.

Now,

Think of a moment in which you have not treated yourself like you wanted.

Take a moment to notice your feelings and sensations.

Whatever you feel,

Give it some space.

Allow yourself to feel whatever arises.

Now,

Take a deep breath and say,

I forgive myself.

Let's do that again,

Noticing what happens in your body when you say it.

I forgive myself.

And once more,

I forgive myself.

Allow yourself to feel whatever arises.

Give it some space.

Now,

Return your attention to your breathing.

If any thoughts arise,

Notice them and return to your breathing.

If any feelings arise,

Notice them and return to your breathing.

If any sensations arise,

Notice them and return to your breathing.

Now,

Take some time to arrive in the space you're in.

Take a deep breath and then open your eyes.

Now,

Return to your breathing.
