Welcome,
My name is Joachim and I will be leading you into a meditation around the topic of silence.
First of all,
Find a place that is comfortable for you and a position of the body that you know you will be able to hold for a while.
Whether that's sitting or laying down is entirely up to you.
Whoever you are,
Whatever is real for you right now,
You are welcome here.
Thank you for showing up.
Take a moment to just arrive in the space where you are.
Maybe look around and gently focus your gaze on what is around you in the space.
What do you see?
Then take a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Remember to always take care of yourself.
Give yourself what you need at all times.
Whether that means taking a break or gently shifting your position,
You know best what you need and everything I say is just an invitation.
Feel free to change anything I say into something that serves you better.
I now invite you to gently close your eyes and just be with what is for a while.
What does it feel like to be you right now?
And now take a deep breath in through the nose and release through the mouth.
Let's do that again.
Deep breath in and release with a sigh.
And one last time,
Deep breath in and let go.
What is silence?
Silence is not the absence of sound.
Silence is not needing to add anything to what is.
See if you can come to silence.
Silence is not the absence of thoughts.
Silence is accepting the coming and going of thoughts.
See if you can come to silence.
Silence is not the absence of judgment.
Silence is surrendering into letting go of judgments.
See if you can come to silence.
Silence is not the absence of emotions.
Silence is feeling all emotions as they arise and knowing that nothing needs to happen.
See if you can come to silence.
Silence is not the absence of aliveness.
Silence is being with and surrendering to aliveness.
See if you can come to silence.
Silence is not absence.
Silence is not needing to add.
Silence is presence.
See if you can come to silence.
And now let go of silence and take a deep breath in through the nose.
And let go through the mouth.
Once again,
Deep breath in.
And let go with a sigh.
And one more time,
Deep breath in.
And release.
Take a moment to just tune in to what is real for you right now.
What is it like to be you?
And then the invitation is to gently open your eyes whenever you feel ready.
And just be with and in the space for a while.
Notice the transformation of silence.
