Good morning and welcome to this new day.
A new day of possibilities and brand new beginnings.
This guided meditation is to invite ease and peace into your day and will calm,
Ground and energize as you start your morning.
Find a comfortable seat and allow your spine to be straight.
You can use the support of a wall or alternatively you can listen to this guided meditation in bed before you take your first steps of the day.
If you prefer you can settle yourself in Shavasana,
Corpse pose,
On your yoga mat with a blanket to support your head and neck and a bolster under your knees.
Find the best position for your absolute comfort and begin to let go.
Let go of any tension in the body and softly close your eyes.
This is your time,
An opportunity to connect with yourself,
To relax completely and open to the energy of ease and peace flowing inside you and all around you.
Listen to my voice and allow me to guide you on this beautiful morning.
Now bring your attention to your breath.
Gently take a deeper breath in through your nose.
Allow for this breath to be soft and smooth as the air enters your nostrils.
Then gently release the breath on the exhale.
A soft smooth exhale through the nose.
Inhale slowly,
Deeply,
Gently.
Relax your jaw.
Relax the little space between your eyebrows.
Then smooth,
Gentle,
Steady exhalation through the nose.
We will do this two more times.
Inhale slow,
Steady.
Exhale slow and steady.
Inhale,
Feel the air enter your nostrils.
Exhale,
Release and let go.
Feel the tension draining from your physical body down into the earth as you allow your breath to guide you to a place of peace.
Face becomes soft,
Shoulders move downwards away from the ears.
Upper back,
Mid back and lower back.
On the inhale and soften on the exhale.
Let it flow easily like the ebb and flow of a gentle tide.
Notice that with every exhalation your body becomes more and more relaxed.
Setting softly and easily into the earth beneath you.
Moving more and more into a place of ease and peace.
Moving more and more into the energy of ease and peace.
As you invite this flow of energy,
Begin to imagine a beautiful golden light surrounding you.
It is the essence of ease and the nature of peace inside you.
Allow this golden hue to gently move towards you.
Feel it gently wash over your head and neck.
Bringing a soothing warmth,
Total relaxation to every muscle in this part of your body.
Feel it move down to your shoulders and upper back.
Softening and releasing any points of tension.
This soothing warm glow moves down to your abdomen.
Filling your centre with comforting,
Calming warmth.
It washes over your upper legs,
Knees,
Feet and toes.
Holding your lower body in a deep place.
From your toes the golden energy enters your body from the soles of your feet,
Moving up to the crown of your head.
You draw this energy in and feel completely and utterly held by its beauty.
You are at ease.
You are at peace.
You are held by the light.
Every ray is absorbed into your being and a halo of its energy surrounds you now.
As you bask in its glow,
Place one hand on your abdomen,
On your heart space.
Seal the light inside you by gently breathing into these points.
Feel your hands rise on the inhale and fall on the exhale.
You are ease.
You are surrounded by ease.
You are surrounded by peace.
With every inhale,
The light becomes stronger.
With every exhale,
You send that light out.
Your body is relaxed.
Your mind is clear and energised.
You are focused and ready to begin your day.
Any tension has completely melted away into the earth and the golden light has filled your being.
You will carry this light with you throughout your day.
You can breathe into it at any time and will project its warmth and goodness to others around you.
Now,
Gently place your hands beside you or into your lap if you are seated.
Begin to slowly become aware of your surroundings again.
Feel your body as it touches the ground beneath you.
Feel those points of contact but allow your body to remain soft and relaxed.
Gently open your eyes,
Keeping your gaze soft for a few moments.
The steady loving presence that you have created within you and around you,
Knowing that you are starting your day with ease and peace.
Take this with you.
Whenever you feel ready to transition from your meditation position,
Fully open your eyes.
Stretch a little if you wish and get ready to start.
