Hi.
Today we'll meditate to help set intentions for the coming year.
Know that this can be done anytime,
Any day,
But the end of a year or the start of a new one can give us a temporal blank slate to visualize what we want to happen in the coming year.
We'll imagine ourselves at the end of next year,
Seeing what our lives look like in our mind's eye,
Where we're at,
And most importantly,
How we feel at the end of next year.
So,
When you're ready,
You can sit comfortably on a chair,
A cushion,
With your back against a wall,
And you can have your legs out in front of you or crossed,
With your hands placed gently on your knees or in your lap.
Just make sure that your head is directly above your spine during this meditation,
And when you're ready,
You can gently close your eyes.
Now,
I want you to imagine that you're on a beautiful white sand beach.
You can feel the warm,
Soft sand underneath the soles of your feet,
In between your toes,
And as you start walking on the beach,
You can feel the sun's rays gently warming your skin,
And as you take a few steps,
You can hear the waves gently rolling in and rolling back out.
Notice how crystal clear the water looks,
And that deep blue sky above the ocean.
And as you walk,
You can feel the sand and the sun.
See those crystal clear waves rolling in and going back out.
Notice how warm and safe and peaceful you feel,
As you walk in this paradise,
And as you walk,
You notice a path going into a beautiful forest.
You decide to take the path through the lush green plants,
As butterflies dance around your feet.
You keep walking,
Seeing beautiful palm trees above you,
And as you walk,
You feel soft wooden planks beneath your feet.
And as you walk,
You feel soft wooden planks beneath your feet.
A beautiful path just for you,
And as you walk a little further,
Notice the colors of the flowers around you.
Smell their blossom in the air.
You might start to feel your feet becoming lighter on the ground,
And eventually your toes stop touching ground,
And you feel yourself just a few inches off the ground,
And you start going higher past the plants,
Through the canopy of the beautiful magical forest.
And as you go up higher,
You look down,
See the beautiful ocean expanding out into the horizon,
Expanding out into the horizon,
And as you go up higher,
The lines between the blue ocean and the white sand and the green canopy,
Are just about all you can make out,
Like a beautiful piece of art.
And now you're looking down at the earth as it spins.
You can see the continents on that beautiful blue,
Brown and green earth beneath you,
And as you stay gently suspended in the air,
You see the earth spin as it goes around the sun,
And returns back to beneath your feet.
And as you begin to float down through the atmosphere of the earth,
With a big blue sky,
And the clouds,
You go past the clouds,
You softly land like a feather just outside the house where you're living in a year's time.
I want you to take a look at the house,
Apartment,
The abode that you're living in,
In one year's time.
Take a look at the design,
And when you're ready,
You can press the doorbell of your future home.
After you press the doorbell,
You hear someone approaching the door on the other side.
The door opens and there's someone standing there smiling.
It's you in one year's time.
Notice the smile that the future you has.
See what they're wearing.
Most importantly,
Notice the way that being around them feels.
The future you walks you inside their living room.
I want you to look at the walls,
Notice the furniture,
See if there's anything new,
And what's changed.
You can also feel into if there's anyone else at home,
Maybe a partner,
Housemates,
Family,
Maybe even a pet.
Feel into whether they're in a room nearby.
And your future you guides you into another room.
They open the door,
See if there are any clues in there as to how your work is going,
How you've been spending your time,
Whether you've been on any travels.
Just take a look around the room,
At any furniture that's there or anything that's on the walls that might give you some clues.
And after you've walked around this room,
Taking everything in,
You turn back to your future you,
And they offer you to come and sit in their living room.
And as you sit with them,
You look into your future you's eyes,
And you see the wisdom and the learnings that they've gained in the last year.
You notice how they feel to be around.
And you can ask them,
What's important for me to focus on for the upcoming year.
And you can ask the future you,
What do I need to do more of this year.
What's holding you back in my current state that I need to let go of.
So you and you can ask the future you,
And you can ask the future you,
How did you get to be the way you are now.
So you do you have any more advice for the year ahead.
And you can ask the future you,
Do you have a message for me.
And after hearing these answers,
Future you smiles,
Loving me at you,
And extends their hand out with a gift for you.
Notice what this gift is,
Is it a physical object,
Or are they simply giving you their love and letting you know that they'll be here to support you over the year ahead.
Notice what the future you is giving you now.
And after receiving that beautiful gift from the future you,
They stand up and you stand up facing them.
Your future you extends out their arms to give you a warm,
Loving embrace.
I want you to feel the love that your higher self,
Your future you,
Is blessing you with.
Feel it in the center of your chest,
How warm your heart feels.
And as you hug the future you,
I want you to start feeling what their energy really feels like to be this close with.
How do they make you feel?
You might start noticing that your future you starts merging with you.
Feel what their energy feels like.
And after that warm embrace,
You take a step back and looking at the future you in the eyes as you smile at each other.
And your future you tells you that they love you,
They bless you,
They wish for peace,
Happiness and everything you need to come to you for the year ahead.
Notice how you feel in your body now.
And feel yourself being transported back into the present,
Back into the room that you're currently in.
But feel that warmth and the lessons that you learned from you in a year's time.
And you can make note of the gift that the future you gave you.
Any advice that they had about what you need more of now,
How you can improve over the coming year,
What you're ready to let go of.
And remember anything you saw in your home in a year's time,
That you feel that you really want or you're ready to work towards.
And now you can start breathing more deeply in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Be even more present in your body.
Maybe start wiggling your toes,
Circling your wrists,
Moving your head slightly from side to side.
And when you're ready,
Thank yourself for the insights and what you learned.
And then you can gently open your eyes and come back to the room that you're in.
Know that your future self,
Know that the future you is with you and already present.
Notice what your higher self wants for you deep down.
This should help you make your intentions for the year ahead,
