Welcome to this 10-minute sleep,

Rest,

Reset guided meditation.

This guided meditation will help you reset on your 10-minute break at work or to put your day to rest at home.

Allow yourself to surrender to the quiet and stillness.

Drop into your breath and escape into rest.

Here we create an environment for your body to slow down and relax.

Your knotted belly to unravel and let go of tension and your mind to create space for renewal.

Let go of racing thoughts and allow yourself to be nourished by this deep restful practice.

Rest that soothes away all our worries.

Rest that digests our busy day and allows us to renew.

Rest that heals our busy minds and unravels the tension in our belly.

Rest that drops us into our breath and the presence and stillness of this moment.

It's time to rest now.

I invite you to close your eyes and find a seat or bed of comfort.

Just let your in-breath bring you deeper into your body and your out-breath sinks you closer to the earth.

Breathing in,

I am aware of my in-breath.

Breathing out,

I am aware of my out-breath.

In-breath.

Out-breath.

Feeling each part of you becoming heavy with weight.

We're going to do a body scan to wash away your day.

And with each part named,

I invite you to imagine warm,

Dripping water washing away any tension,

Any energy that is not yours,

Any thoughts that no longer serve you.

Beginning with the top of your head,

Imagine slow,

Warm,

Dripping water gently washing over the top of your head.

This water slowing down your mind,

Creating space for renewal and deep rest.

This warm,

Slow,

Dripping water washing over your face and shoulders.

Imagine in your jaw and shoulders gently dripping away.

This warm,

Slow,

Dripping water washing over your chest and back,

Giving space for a full,

Deep inhale and long,

Slow exhale,

Freeing your breath from the constriction of your day.

This warm,

Slow,

Dripping water washing over your arms and legs,

Hands and feet,

Washing away any energy that is not yours,

Rinsing away your day.

This slow,

Warm,

Dripping water washing over your entire body so that now you are floating in this warm water,

Resting your body buoyed by your breath as you float here.

You are allowed to rest now,

Allowed to drift and be supported by this warm water beneath you.

Nothing to do,

Nowhere to go but to rest,

To feel deeply nourished by the water around you.

I will wake you up with a soft bell at the end,

But for now it's time to rest.

You can slowly welcome a deeper breath into your body and slowly emerge from the waters of deep rest.

You can wiggle your fingers,

Your toes,

Welcome a gentle stretch of renewal and slowly begin to open your eyes.
