Hello,
I'm Jessie Galvin.
Welcome to this quick grounding practice.
So you can keep your eyes open or closed for this practice.
Just tune into whatever feels best for you.
We'll start by taking a deep breath in through the nose.
And an exhale out through the mouth.
Repeat that twice more.
Deep breath in,
Feel the belly,
Ribs,
Chest expand.
Feel the body soften as you exhale.
Last one,
Deep breath in.
And a full breath out.
Now bring your awareness to the soles of your feet.
Press them gently into the floor.
Feel your heels.
Your toes.
The soles of each foot.
Notice where your feet make contact with the ground underneath you.
Feel what is holding your body as you sit or lie here.
Notice the stability of that surface.
And notice how your body responds.
To acknowledging that you are held and supported here.
Take another deep breath in through the nose.
And exhale through your mouth.
Now bring your awareness.
To any sounds in the room that you're in.
Near or far.
And just see if you can really tune in to that sound that you can hear.
Place your hands on the center of your chest over your heart.
And take three deep breaths into the heart space.
Allowing yourself to soften as you exhale.
Now bring your awareness back to the soles of your feet.
Feel the ground underneath you.
Steady.
Stable.
And know that you are always helped.
When you're ready.
Let's take one more deep breath in through the nose.
And releasing through your mouth.
Carry this steadiness with you through the rest of your day.
I'm Jessie Galvin.
Thank you so much for being here.
