In this meditation, you will be guided to feel into aspects of yourself you felt you had to disconnect form or keep hidden to feel safe and/or get love. These may run the gamut from angry and scared parts to your creativity, voice and gifts. Once you have a sense of what they are, you will be bringing the light of love and awareness to them. You will then be invited to repeat affirmations for reclaiming those shadow parts.

Hello,

My dears.

This is Jenny Braav of Radiant Wellness Healing,

And this is a guided meditation to bring light to your shadow parts.

And I invite you to find a comfortable position.

It can be inside,

Outside.

Sitting or lying down.

Even maybe walking,

If you can do it in a way that is mindful.

And once you feel settled,

Just taking nice,

Slow,

Deep breaths.

With each in-breath inviting in a slowing down,

A dropping in,

A little more space.

And with each out-breath inviting anything that's ready to release.

Tension,

Unwanted thoughts,

Dark emotions.

With each breath feeling yourself dropping in a little more deeply into this moment,

Into presence,

Into your body.

And as you do,

I invite you to start feeling into parts of you that feel like shadow aspects of you.

That you feel you have to keep hidden.

And rather than trying to figure it out with your mind,

With gratitude and appreciation,

Turning down that cognitive brain dial.

Inviting it to take a well-deserved break.

And turning up your heart,

Body,

Intuitive wisdom dial.

That already knows what is wanting loving attention.

And allowing that inner knowing to reveal any shadow aspects that are ready to come to the light for healing,

For love to be reclaimed.

And this could be disowned emotions like anxiety,

Anger,

Fear,

Powerlessness,

Pride,

Vulnerability,

Envy,

Insecurity.

It might be your voice,

Your gifts,

Your bigness,

Your boundaries,

Your needs.

A part of you that wants to rest,

That is slow.

Whatever it might be.

To the extent possible without judgment or story.

And if those do come up,

Allowing them to be welcome as well.

Part of what we're making space for rather than needing to listen to or believe them.

And as you feel into what the shadow aspects might be,

Notice any beliefs you might have about this part,

This aspect of you.

Any messages you might have received,

Maybe when you were younger.

That you are too much,

Not enough.

That you need to change something about you to be loved,

Safe,

Accepted.

Whatever these might be,

Trusting anything that arises.

And if nothing does for any of this inquiry,

That's okay too.

As you bring up the shadow part,

The emotions,

The beliefs.

Whatever is coming up for you.

Start bringing your awareness to your body.

Noticing if there are any sensations associated with what we're bringing up.

Any part that feels tight or contracted,

Jittery,

Numb.

Maybe you don't feel your body at all.

Maybe you disconnect or disassociate when you bring it up.

And ask yourself if there's an age associated with when you first started hiding,

Disconnecting from,

Feeling ashamed of this part.

There might be a memory,

An age range.

Maybe it feels like this has always been with you.

That you inherited this pattern of disconnect.

And as you connect to any memory,

Age,

Or perhaps an ancestral inherited pattern,

Bring awareness back to your breath.

And this time with each breath,

Sense,

Feel,

Or imagine that you are surrounding these disowned,

Suppressed,

Contained shadow parts with your breath.

With the light of your awareness.

With no intention to fix or change or figure out.

Although again,

If that's present,

Allowing that to be here as well.

And as your breath surrounds this part,

Makes more space for it,

Sense,

Feel,

Or imagine that there is a light that you are shining on these parts so that they no longer need to hide in dark corners of your being,

In the subterranean place they've been relegated to.

And as your breath and this light and the warmth of your own heart and attention surround these parts,

Let's invite in a guide that is wanting to support you in bringing these hidden aspects of you back into the fold of unconditional love of your being.

And this loving presence,

This guide could be your soul self,

Higher self,

Wise self.

It could be a color,

A vibration,

An energy,

A sound,

A word.

It could be an animal,

Plant,

Mineral,

Teacher.

Could be an element.

A mythical creature,

A well ancestor.

And if you don't have a clear sense of one,

That's always okay.

You can keep surrounding these parts with love and care in your breath.

And if you do have a sense of a guide,

Just opening to any gifts,

Any messages your guide might have for you,

Any qualities or medicine,

This guide,

This energy is bringing for your shadow parts.

And if you had a sense of a younger part or an ancestral pattern,

Bringing your younger self,

The ancestral pattern,

Any belief,

Disowned emotions into the light of your breath,

Your awareness,

That warm shining light and of the guide.

Feeling whatever wounds are here,

The unprocessed emotions associated with it,

The beliefs designed to make sense of the wounding,

The coping strategies of hiding,

Going underground,

Start to dissolve.

To melt away.

Feeling any split in your being around what is acceptable and can be shown to others and what is not.

Feeling that split begin to heal and mend.

Feeling into the possibility that your worth is inherent,

That all parts of you are welcome and loved and lovable.

And feeling into the possibility that that might be true for others as well.

Feeling that you do not need to fear their shadow parts.

And from here,

Sense,

Feel,

Imagine that you,

Your guide,

Your young self,

The contracts,

The beliefs are in a beautiful place.

This might be a known place,

Might be imaginary,

Composite,

A type of place where you feel you belong,

You feel safe,

Seen.

And it might be outside,

Inside,

Whatever feels really good to your being.

Without thinking about it,

Just allowing it to arise.

And from here,

I'm going to say some affirmations.

You can repeat them in your mind out loud or just let the words wash over you.

Feeling free to modify the words in the way that best resonates with you.

Organically,

Again,

No need for the mind to be involved.

And I will be saying I,

And if you're wanting to include your younger selves or other aspects,

Feel free to say we.

I welcome all parts of me.

I'm learning to accept myself.

I'm discovering I'm okay as I am.

My shadow is the other side of my light.

I'm reconnecting to all aspects of me.

I'm befriending my anger.

I'm stepping into my power.

I am whole.

I am perfect as I am.

Or at least I'm open to that possibility.

I'm letting go of blame.

I'm learning to forgive myself and others.

I am safe and supported.

My shadow is my guide.

It shows me where I need healing.

Beauty comes when light meets shadow.

Without my shadow,

My light is only an approximation of itself.

I am learning to love my fragments.

There is nothing wrong with me.

I have nothing to fear.

Not even my own shadow.

It is safe for me to shine.

To express my needs.

I'm making space for my creative force to emerge.

I'm healing the split of opposites.

There is nothing to resist,

Nothing to defend.

The universe is abundant.

I am reclaiming all parts of me.

I am releasing the shame and all unprocessed emotions.

I get to be unapologetically me.

This is,

After all,

What I am here for.

I am letting the words wash over you and any younger selves,

Disowned parts that are here with you.

I am feeling any last residue of the old splits,

Old patterns,

Old beliefs drain from your body,

Your psyche,

Your physical,

Emotional,

Spiritual body.

And calling back through your crown any disowned part that is ready to come back.

And feeling yourself welcoming those parts as they reintegrate.

Feeling yourself a little more aligned and whole and here.

And when you're ready,

Maybe wiggling your toes,

Your fingers,

Opening your eyes if they were closed.

And looking around wherever you are with these eyes of fullness,

Of oneness.

Knowing that you can always return to this meditation,

This feeling anytime you need to,

Anytime.

You feel contracted or disconnected.

Or that there are parts of you that are warring with each other,

Push-pull.

Setting the intention that as you go through your day or evening,

You will keep tapping into this sense of having welcomed back and accepted all parts of you.

Thank you so much.
