For this grounding meditation,
You will want to be sitting up or even standing.
Go ahead and place your hands on your hips like you are a superhero.
Take a nice deep breath here,
Filling up your belly all the way.
And release.
Allow your eyes to close and just be here for a moment with yourself.
It may feel a little silly at first,
But after a few moments you may notice that the more you settle into this posture,
The more confident and relaxed you begin to feel.
Take another deep breath with me here,
Breathing in all the way in.
And let it out with a sigh.
You can go ahead and let your arms relax now that you are feeling quite comfortable,
Quite present.
I'd like you to begin to imagine a nice,
Comforting,
Soft light beginning now in the top of your head.
Feel this comforting vibration here.
Relaxing the muscles of your forehead,
Your eyes,
Nose,
Mouth,
Chin,
Down the back of your head into your throat.
Feel this calm,
Relaxing energy moving down.
Into your shoulders now.
Down your arms,
Into your hands.
Into your chest,
Your back.
And as you feel this calm,
Relaxing energy moving down through your body,
Feel yourself growing a little calmer,
A little more comfortable with each breath.
Feeling this energy moving down into your stomach now.
Into your hips and your thighs.
Feel these muscles relaxing,
Letting go.
Down into your knees and your calves.
Into your feet and your toes.
You may want to wiggle your toes or you may want to just calmly rest in this comfortable space.
And as you breathe,
Allow a gentle smile to bubble up into your face.
Feel this comforting energy flowing all the way down through your body,
Down out of the bottoms of your feet into the earth.
Feel this solid,
Grounding connection.
I'd like you to place your hands back on your hips just like a superhero.
Take another deep breath in and repeat to yourself silently.
I am grounded.
I am centered.
I can handle anything that comes my way.
You can go ahead and take one more deep cleansing breath here.
And as you exhale,
Go ahead and open your eyes.
But before you go on with your day,
Take a moment to appreciate yourself right now for taking this time to tune into you.
