My name is Jen,
And this is the Breath of Joy.
This is an invigorating and energizing breathwork practice you can do to get your day started off on a positive note or to wake yourself up if you're having a midday slump.
So in this breath practice,
You divide one inhale into thirds.
If you imagine your torso is a canister,
You're filling up with air.
You fill one third of the way,
Then two thirds of the way,
Then all the way up before letting it all out with an exhale.
Go with this that first part of your breath sweep your arms out in front of you the next part out to the sides and that last puff of air all the way over your head you'll exhale with a ha as you throw your arms behind you and bend your knees so let's do this together you can watch me a couple times and then hop in when you're ready first take a steady breath in and let it out and begin.
Finish and come back to standing.
Place one hand on your chest,
One hand on your belly.
Let your breath smooth back out to its natural rhythm.
Notice the effects,
Your faster heart rate.
The warmth you've built.
If you feel your hands and your feet.
Tingling with fresh blood and energy.
