Hello.

Find a comfortable place to sit for this meditation.

A meditation like this should never be done while driving.

Close your eyes,

And take some deep inhales on a count of 5,

Exhaling on a count of 5.

Notice how your body feels at this time.

Doing a quick body scan from head to toe,

Noticing any place that's holding tension.

During this meditation,

You will tune in to the outside force of gravity.

It's a wonderful way to ground your body and come back to calm.

We spend the whole day opposing gravity,

Resisting it by standing,

By keeping our head up,

And by keeping our mouths closed.

So at this time,

You're going to tune in to gravity and feel the weightiness,

The sense of weight in the body.

Feeling the connection of the tailbone to your seat,

To your feet on the ground.

Feeling now as though your shoulders are melting wax or a melting ice cube.

Maybe your legs feel like sandbags.

Just feeling the pull of gravity.

Maybe tip your head forward and feel how heavy it is,

Bringing it back up in alignment with your spine,

Relaxing the jaw,

Allowing it to be slightly slack.

So much emotion is held in the jaw.

And now lifting one arm up off your lap and slowly lowering it back down to the lap.

Again feeling the heaviness.

And now do this with the other arm,

Lifting it up,

Maybe a foot off your lap.

And then this time lowering it about six inches and letting it just fall the rest of the way.

Tuning into gravity is a wonderful way to ground,

To come back to the body,

Inviting anything that's holding on to let go,

To release and relax,

Trusting that anything that isn't ready to let go is there for a purpose.

We don't force.

We invite.

We become curious.

The body carries so much information and is often speaking to us.

And when we can listen,

It will offer information that can be helpful to us emotionally,

Spiritually,

Physically.

I'm going to give you some time to tune into this heaviness,

This weightiness in the body,

In silence.

Imagining now a beautiful ray of sunlight traveling down,

Entering at the top of your head.

It's the perfect temperature,

But it moves slowly like lava as it touches each cell.

Beginning first with your scalp and your face,

Just feeling this gentle warmth moving down through the body as it enters your neck,

Filling the shoulders and the chest region,

The upper back.

Moving slowly down into your arms.

It's a healing light.

It's as though you could be shining this light right out of your pores.

It moves down into the hands,

Down into the mid-body,

Down into the hips,

The pelvic region,

The groin,

The buttocks,

The upper legs,

The knees,

The shins and calves,

Down into your feet.

It's a beautiful,

Warm,

Healing light.

You feel at one with this light.

It moves down now to the center of the earth,

Carrying with it any tension you have been ready to release,

Anything you no longer want to carry.

It's dissipated at the core of the earth.

Then this beautiful light moves back up,

Entering your feet.

It's lighter now and it is a healing light.

It's energized and it moves up your spine,

All the way up,

Back out the top of your head and into the sun,

Rejuvenating you,

Giving you anything that you might need in this moment.

You are being fed by this light.

As it cycles through the body,

First moving down the front of your body slowly,

Carrying with it anything you are ready to let go of,

Down towards the center of the earth.

Then moving back up again,

A bright light that energizes up the back of the body.

You are like a bead on a golden loop of light.

You can time this with your breath,

Exhaling as it moves down the front of the body and inhaling as it moves up the back of the body or taking it on your own time.

I'm going to leave you now to be with this process,

To be held in this golden light,

In this beautiful state of being grounded.

Take as long as you need to complete this meditation,

Wishing you serenity,

Freedom and joy.
