Hello beautiful souls,
This is June Bee,
And welcome to an amazing night's sleep.
Thanks for joining me tonight for another in the series,
Bedtime Tales with June Bee.
Tonight we will be traveling to a place where rain doesn't dampen your spirit,
It frees it.
Where storms become songs and every beautiful raindrop is an invitation to dance.
Tonight we'll be dancing in the rain.
So let's get into your favorite sleeping position,
Making sure you're comfortable.
Close your eyes,
Relax your muscles and slowly imagine yourself melting into the bed.
Now let's go to your breathing,
Slowing down the heart rate and let's take some nourishing breaths together.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Last time,
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Settle in now,
Relax and get comfortable.
Listen to the sound of my voice.
If your mind wanders,
It's okay,
Bring it back to the sound of my voice.
Let go of everything that has happened today and let's go on our journey together.
Now imagine you are standing on a quiet and dreamy cobblestone street.
The air is crisp,
Fresh and sweet,
Gently touched with the sweet and sometimes salty scent of rain.
Way above you,
Twilight reaches across the sky and stretches like a soft,
Comfy indigo blanket with endless streaks of lilac lavender and pale,
Shimmering silver clouds drifting effortlessly across the beautiful night's sky.
The first soft drops of rain begin to fall,
Light,
Playful,
Cool and refreshing against your skin.
And suddenly you laugh,
Full of oodles of joyful laughter that bubble out of you like a song you'd forgotten you knew and suddenly remember like you were just singing it only a moment ago.
The rain slowly grows steadier,
A heavenly chorus cascading all around you.
Instead of running for shelter,
You open your arms wide as you look up to the heavens and begin to tentatively move.
You sway a little as if it is your first ever dance,
Gently getting into the groove,
Starting to get more in touch with your body as you and the rain become one.
You lovingly twirl,
Then you pick up some speed and you take the chance to cutely skip through the puddles.
Your heart,
Soul and body suddenly remember how good it feels to be free,
How instantly alive you are when you just let go and surrender.
The rain coming down heavier now drips from your nose,
Your eyelashes and your chin like cool kisses trailing down your face.
As soon as you stop and look around,
You notice you are not alone.
A child races out from a doorway,
Stomping in puddles,
Shrieking merrily with such delight.
An old man steps into the street,
Rain dripping from the brim of his very smart veroda hat,
As he also sways gently from side to side.
This is somewhat unusual.
People usually hide or run away from the rain.
Today though,
One by one,
As the evening is drawing in,
People suddenly appear,
Smiling,
Laughing,
Dancing and joining you as you enjoy the warm and comforting liquid sunshine.
The whole street suddenly becomes alive with the music of the falling water,
Though there are no official instruments,
Only the rhythm of raindrops and the symphony of pure,
Undiluted joy.
The sound of the rain is like a constant drumbeat,
Steady and grounding,
Somewhat like the beat of your heart as it fills with so much happiness.
The splash of many feet in puddles all around you add to the pounding rhythm of joy.
The laughter,
The voices,
The freedom,
The joy,
It is all part of this freestyle,
Unchoreographed dance.
You gently close your eyes for just a moment and feel into it.
The rain is so much more than rain,
It is cleansing you.
It is washing away any heaviness of old burdens and things that no longer serve you.
It is rinsing away any of the doubts that whispered to you that you were not enough.
It is dissolving away the sadness that clung to you for way too long.
With each gentle drop,
You feel lighter.
With each effortless spin,
You feel brighter.
With each soft laugh,
You feel whole again.
You place one hand over your heart,
It beats constant,
Strong and steady.
You whisper softly to yourself,
I am here.
Imagine the scene now,
Being right here for a while,
Dancing,
Splashing and laughing with the rain.
Take a few minutes to paint your own picture.
Feel the endless droplets running down your skin,
Cool,
Refreshing and ultimately cleansing.
Feel your laughter gently rising like first sunlight of the day,
Breaking through those clouds.
Feel your spirit soaring,
Expanding,
Limitless and totally free.
As the storm softens,
The sky glows deeply with a partially hidden moon,
Veiled in soft,
Drifting clouds.
The rain eases up into a gentle,
Warm drizzle and you step beneath the shelter of a great and wise oak tree.
Its expansive branches hold you like a warm and gentle embrace,
While the last renegade raindrops fall softly around you,
Doing a last dance on the street like a dreamy lullaby.
Here you rest safe and fully renewed.
Your heart feels super light.
Your mind feels deeply calm.
Your spirit feels amazingly alive with endless possibilities.
You intrinsically know now that whenever life feels stiff,
Stale or heavy,
Whenever storms come,
In whatever form,
You can return to this precious moment.
You can always choose to dance joyfully in the warm and welcoming rain.
To let total joy find you.
To let expansive freedom guide you.
And as you slowly rest here for these few moments,
Let these words settle deep within your being.
The many storms in life are not meant to drown you.
They are here lovingly to teach you how to get up and dance.
Drift effortlessly,
Drift deeply,
Drift lovingly.
The rain still falls ever so softly,
Singing you sweetly to sleep.
Your spirit is light.
Your heart is open.
You are safe.
You are strong.
You are free.
Even when the storms come,
Remember,
You can always dance freely in the rain.
I don't know about you,
But I'm getting sleepy even thinking about it.
So I'm ready to let go fully and surrender to sleep.
Thanks for joining me tonight.
And as you slowly drift away,
Have yourself a great night's sleep.
And looking forward to seeing you again.
For another in the series,
Bedtime Tales with Juvie.
Good night.
